The Minix NEO J51-C8 is a small computer that is a good alternative to a bulky desktop computer or expensive laptop. It's quiet, energy-saving, and small enough to be hidden behind your monitor via the vesa mount. Icouldn't as I have a monitor arm using the vesa mount. It's got a great, metal housing which makes it feel very premium. Despite its small size, it's still powerful enough to handle everyday tasks like web browsing, light photo editing, watching videos and even some gaming (It doesn't have a dedicated graphics card so don't get for only gaming). It can connect up to three monitors and comes with Windows 11 Pro already installed for easy setup. I would say this is a good choice for someone who wants a powerful but compact computer for everyday use. I have set this up for my daughter to do school work, and with child protection in place, a child-friendly browser for surfing the web.

This is a micro computer that can be used for personal or business computing in a restricted space environment. It comes in a small, colourfully printed retail package with a HDMI lead, power lead and a VESA mount. It has windows 11PRO 54bit PRE-INSTALLED! which was a pleasant surprise given its low price. I had to get a keyboard and mouse that were both connected to a single USB dongle to set this up. You could also use any wired keyboard and mouse but that would take two of the USB slots! I also got a 10" portable slave monitor which I am also using without any issues. This computer is very, very small at 6" square and under 2" thick it would hide neatly behind almost any monitor if fixed with the included VESA mount. My initial plan for this computer was to hook it up to my 63" TV in my lounge to give me the ultimate big screen computer and possibly load KODI or something similar to watch films etc on. After the initial set-up (which took longer than I expected) but must have been easy if I managed it everything is working perfectly, it seamlessly connected to my Windows and google accounts. My usual laptop was marketed as a gaming laptop when I bought it just over three years ago and I have been very happy with it, until I started using this! Compared with my laptop this is downloading web pages much, much faster and it is much quicker to start as well. I dont doubt that is because I have so many cookies or programmes spying on me on my trusty laptop but I will be sure to get it cleaned up by someone who knows what they are doing soon! This tiny box can actually run up to three monitors simultaneously side by side! which I would love to try! I would happily recommend it as being a perfectly functional PC especially if you already have a working monitor and keyboard! Happy to help

Der kompakte, energiesparende NEO J51-C8 Mini PC hat ein mattsilbernes Metallgehäuse und ein modernes Design. An der Seite und im unteren Gehäusebereich befinden sich Lüftungsschlitze. Die Anschlüsse sind leicht erreichbar und die Verarbeitungsqualität ist tadellos. Der kleine PC kann auch auf der Rückseite eines Monitors montiert werden. Der Mini PC ist mit einem Quad-Core N5105 Prozessor mit integrierter Intel UHD Grafik ausgestattet. Mit den HDMI, Mini DP und USB Type C Ausgängen ist es möglich bis zu drei 4k Monitore anzuschließen. Verbaut sind 8GB DDR4 RAM und ein schnelle 512GB PCIe NVMe 2280 SSD für das Betriebssystem. Der Arbeitsspeicher lässt sich mit einem weiteren Speichermodul bis 16GB erweitern und eine zusätzliche SSD bis 2TB kann ebenfalls eingebaut werden. An den Seiten sind ein Netzschalter, Reset Taste, Netzteilanschluss, 2x LAN, 1x USB Type C, 2x USB 3.2, 1x USB 2.0, HDMI, Mini DP und ein Mikrofon Ein- bzw. Kopfhörer-Ausgang eingebaut. Der Mini PC verfügt zudem über Bluetooth 5.2 und 802.11ax Dual-Band Wi-Fi 6 mit 2 Antennen. Als Betriebssystem ist Windows 11 Pro 64-Bit vorinstalliert und nach der Ersteinrichtung des PCs aktiviert. Nur die Sprache muss im Installationssetup noch auf Deutsch umgestellt werden, die Installation selbst ist kinderleicht. Die Installation von Linux Ubuntu ist ebenfalls möglich. Das gut strukturierte BIOS bietet eine Vielzahl von individuellen Einstellmöglichkeiten um den PC optimal anzupassen. Es wird bspw. TPM 2.0, PXE-Boot, Wake on LAN und RTC unterstützt. Hilfe findet man dazu auch im MiniX Forum auf der Hersteller Webseite. Für industrielle Anwendungen befindet sich ein COM Port auf dem Motherboard. Der PC ist gegen Überspannungen und statische Aufladungen geschützt. Eine Besonderheit des PC ist die universelle Spannungsversorgung, so kann der der PC mit dem Netzteil oder über USB-C betrieben werden. Der Mini PC ist mit einem leisen, intelligenten Kühlsystem mit doppelt gelagertem Lüfter ausgestattet. Während der Einrichtung und Installation oder wenn die energiesparende CPU an das Temperaturlimit kommt schaltet sich dieser gelegentlich ein. Beim Einsatz als Office-Rechner und auch zur Bildbearbeitung stimmt die erwartete Leistung. Die verbaute Hardware erlaubt ein flüssiges Arbeitstempo mit schnellen Ladezeiten in Internet Browser. Aber auch zum Einsatz einer VM Ware oder für ein gelegentliches Spiel ist dieser Mini PC geeignet. Der PC ist zudem bestens als Mediaplayer (ich habe Kodi installiert) geeignet, Streams, IPTV und Videodateien werden ruckelfrei wiedergegeben. Mein Fazit: Der MiniX NEO J51-C8 ist eine preiswerte und leistungsfähige Alternative zu einem Office Desktop PC oder teurem Laptop. Zudem ist der PC auch für Industrieanwendungen einsetzbar.
