My moka pot arrived chipped on the side. Heats up quickly, doesn’t work on induction hobs but works on electric and gas stoves. Biggest con: Coffee leaks from the middle part when I pour the coffee from the pot to the cup no matter how tight I screw the two parts together…

The media could not be loaded.  This is a fantastic machine, if you want to make a couple of espressos or one small cup of coffee. Once on the boil, the coffee is ready in around five minutes.I have a large pot that I use for two cups, but this gives just enough for one very small cup, or two espressos. The process is easy and the pot is simple to clean afterwards.There is a spare gasket, used as a type of washer between the pot (top part) and the water chamber (bottom part). The gasket is used to help seal the bottom section, where a lot of pressure builds up as the water boils.Within 7 or 8 minutes, you have fresh coffee, poured from a great little coffee pot. It's lovely and an absolutely bargain at the moment.

Unfortunately mine arrived in a dirty used condition.There were flecks of dirt, I'm assuming coffee grounds inside it, and a pebble?? lodged in the inner part where the water enters the main coffee chamber. The outside was covered in grease and dirt.After a good clean and using it with just water twice to make sure it was ready to make drinkable coffee... I really enjoyed using this.Thankfully it's easy to clean, handwash is best.Simply fill the bottom section with water to above the steam vent, place the coffee filter piece on top and fill with coffee grounds, tighten the main piece on top and close the lid - leave on the stove top on medium heat, once the steam has subsided, your espresso is good to go.This makes 3 very small espressos, or 2 large espressos.I used freshly ground beans, but I imagine any ground coffee would be improved with this.Perfect gift for a coffee lover, and so easy to make your own barista-quality espressos at home.

This is a classic stove-top percolator; sized for 3 small espresso cups – see photo for size comparison .I confess that I was expecting it to be a little bit thicker gauge aluminium but it seems to work well and at the price makes for a conversation piece and present.I own a larger one that gets constant use for full size cups of coffee and they are fiddly to clean so mine just gets a rinse... don't forget that coffee grounds make for great compost; all part of the conversation I guess.

This is a nice aluminium cafetiere . Came in a box so would make a nice gift. Easy to follow instructions and capacity of three cups. It's a nice design and works well. I'd say it's worth the price !

This espresso maker is good value at £14.99. It is lightweight and is really nicely designed. The pot we received was a bit rough around the edges with a few burrs around the spout which is why I have only given it 3 stars as the quality is perhaps not as good as it could have been. The instructions are really clear and it is easy to use. It comes nicely boxed.
