    I really enjoy shortbread!

I first stumbled on Allens Scottish Shortbread at a local "farmer's market" a few years ago, before they showed up here on Amazon.  I really enjoy shortbread!! Walkers is a favorite and I have even visited the factory in Aberlour, Scotland. One of the distinguishing characteristics of Walkers Shortbread is the consistency from piece to piece.  This illustrates one of the things I really love about Allens Scottish Shortbread and that is that there is some variability from piece to piece. This is perhaps the difference between machine-made Walkers and hand-made Allens.  The slight differences in consistency or crunchiness in the Allens are really delightful, never large enough deviations to be objectionable, but big enough to be a surprise and a delight.  I love the flavor and the consistency (a little more crunchy on the outside) of the Allens and frankly, I like knowing that I am supporting a local, family business.

Met Momma Rabbit and her oldest bunny at a promotional display at a Whole Foods in DC. Lovely ladies and best shortbread I've ever had. So glad it's available here so we can still enjoy it in the south.

Product arrived with an expiration date of almost 3 months ago (4/20). I normally order Walkers shortbread and can safely say I prefer it to Allen's.
