I've always preferred wearing pants or shorts but didn't figure out why until recently-I just don't feel like dresses or skirts provide enough coverage and I hate it when my thighs touch. I've tried Spanx over the years, but they were so thick that they made me very hot, and the top band would roll down my back no matter what size I wore. Plus, peeing while wearing an undergarment like Spanx was impossible, and taking the undergarment off and then putting it back on was a workout.I recently attended my neice/goddaughter's baptism, and I needed to wear a dress. I found these slip shorts on amazon and I am SO glad I did! I only wish I would've discovered prior to my wedding day nine years ago. They are thin, breathable, and the legs and waistband all stay in place-no rolling! The heat index was 104 the day I wore these. I was warm but my thighs weren't sweaty and sticking together, and I didn't regret wearing a dress. Depending on your body shape (I'm an apple shape, 5'9", size 16/18) the waistband may come above your belly button; it did mine, but I appreciated that extra coverage. The legs were a great length and wouldn't show under a skirt above the knee. I ended up wearing undies underneath these because I needed to wear a pad and it wouldn't stick to the lining of the slip short. They're comfy with and without undies, in case someone else is curious.I've since recommended these to a few friends, and my mom bought two pairs and loves them as well-and she lives in Florida, where the heat and humidity are more guaranteed than taxes. :)These are a great deal-the are well made, fit great, and make wearing a skirt or dress WAY more comfortable. They're a winner all around!

This is fabulous. I was looking for something to replace the Maidenform Flexees 1565 that has been discontinued. Everything else I've found is too thick, the legs roll up, rough texture so clothes stick to them, or too expensive.These are super thin, even in the waistband, have no bulk or thickness at all, light, smooth & slick, very comfortable, the legs stay down, and best of all the price can't be beat. I swear they feel thinner than hose. Certainly thinner than control top hose. The legs are cut with no seam or lace, so they don't leave a bump in the middle of your thighs or otherwise show through your clothes. You would think they would roll up immediately, but they don't. I would never have believed it if I hadn't tried, since even spanx legs won't stay down for me. I have very long legs, and most of the thickness in my thighs is at the very top, so EVERYTHING rolls up. These stay down!They don't make you skinny. They just keep everything in place, reduce jiggle, cover potential panty lines, and wear like shorts so you don't have to worry about your skirt blowing up. All good. What a relief. Hand wash in cool water and hang dry. DON't put them in the dryer or the material will become weak. I know because I had a pair that was 2 years old and in perfect condition. Accidentally threw them in the dryer and next time I wore them, they started to run.I had the maidenform flexees style1565, and they've been discontinued, dammit. I've been searching for a suitable replacement. These look just slightly different in the pattern of the waistband, but I really think these are exactly the same.

I've tried about 10 different brands of slip shorts and these are probably my favorites. I'm normally a 2x but ordered a size up because I hate tight clothes, and they still fit snugly without being uncomfortable. The legs do not move AT ALL - they don't ride up no matter what I'm doing. I've even worn them to the beach under a swimsuit & they stayed in place. They are relatively high waisted, which I like, and the waistband only rolls down once in a great while if I'm doing a lot of repeated bending/standing, and even then it depends on whether my stomach is having a bloaty day or not :) I've tried the other Vassarette slip shorts & found them all to be too low in the waist for my comfort.I wear them under dresses 4 or 5 days a week, and the only con I've experienced is that if I'm wearing them out & running errands on a sweaty 90 degree humid day, they don't breathe all that well, but they are still far more comfortable than bike shorts and don't cause any chafing issues.Edit to add that five years later, these are still my favorites. I have about twelve pairs and only one has started to fray at the waist, the rest still look and feel new.

True to size, great under pants or skirts does not roll up on leg or down at waist, very comfortable just enough light support!

I have had one pair of this underwear for a few years, now. With careful washing, they have held up very well. Great for people like me with a high rise. Nice waistband and thicker added crotch area. I ordered two more and they are exactly the same. Nice smooth line under your clothes. I wear a size 16-18 and the 10/3XL fits nicely.

I got these after reading reviews because the price was what I liked. They work ok. I'm 5'9'" and 235lbs and the size I got was fine. Not too loose and not too tight. There is no extra band around the bottoms of the legs so they do tend to rid up. An extra piece of elastic on the legs would make it work so much better. The legs did stay in place enough to prevent chub rub which was the whole reason I got these. The lace at the top did roll a little. Not too much where you are constantly tugging them up but they did roll. So If you are wearing something form fitting this roll would be noticeable. I was wearing something tight but it had a belt so the roll was hidden. Overall they were comfortable but I'm not sure I would buy again. May try something else. If you are looking for tummy control (I was not) them these are not for you.
