Q: Is it possible to replace the remote and receiver with one that allows Smart operation through Alexa etc?

In principle, it is possible, but the wiring part is more complicated, and we cannot guarantee whether the fan can be used normally after replacing other receiver and remote control.

Q: Can it be used in a conservatory?

Yes. Ours is installed in the conservatory. We just used the longer of the 2 extension rods.

Q: How do you change the rotation direction for warm or cool?

To get the fan blowing downwards for cool air you press the.fan button on the remote control twice. If the fan goes in the opposite direction the air is blown upward which just circulates the air

Q: How much does this item actually cost to run when using fan not led light given electric prices in U.K.?

Have know idea, all I can say it worth every penny and have it on all night most night, it has a 2 hr and 6 hr timer and is so quiet highly recommend
