StetsonProf - Soft Wool Fedora Hat

I wanted a Fedora, I have a Christie's which is good quality and double the price. I like the Stetson material. I bought one from the USA (because these had run out of stock) that looked similar. It cost me £65 in postage. Meant to be a Fedora but looked too 'cowboyish', the dome in the middle too high. This one however is perfect. I'd love to be able to try these hats on before buying.....

Very stylish

I wanted a brown felt fedora with a narrow hatband, in size 7 1/2. I was persistent and lucky, because I spotted this hat on a page for STRAW fedoras. I would have missed it if I had not seen the narrow hatband, clicked on the image, and found that the brown hat was felt. Sizing: S, M, L and XL leave the buyer guessing. I opted for XL, but it was a little too large. A size equivalency chart on every page of hats, or a link to a chart, would be a big help, free returns or no.

The hat is nice but as soon as we opened the box I was shocked. It was a gift for my husband and I was so excited for him to open it. Much to our surprise the had had white debris all on it and it’s was dusty. We literally had to vacuum it off before he could wear it. A bit disappointing for a $70 hat.

This is a great hat, but this particular hat is heavy, and I would think for cold weather.

This is exactly like the Stetson my grandfather wore. I have his Stetson, and this one is a little thicker, and maybe even a little better made? The brim is the perfect width (2.25"), and the crown is a perfect height (4.25"). It holds the front snap at the right angle, and even takes well to snapping down one side, too. For the price, you cannot beat this Fedora... it crushes the other offerings from Belfry and Scalia (which cost the same or more).This Fedora is not packable or crushable, but it does bounce back from minor mishaps, and can always be re-shaped by a good hatter or the steam from a kettle.My only wish is that it were satin lined like the older versions, and a feather would have been a nice touch, but most of us would remove those anyway?
