Solid basic switch
Put this switch in place to bring 2.5gbps ports to my core switch without wasting 10gbps SFP+ ports on my more expensive switch. Works great. Haven't tried an LACP link with the 10gbps ports because I am pretty sure this switch doesn't support it. Not a huge problem... if I ever need it I'd buy a second of this switch and set up NIC teaming/failover on my client systems.

After using other brands, this one WORKS
To start, I'll say I'm just glad it works as advertised. I tried a Zyxel XGS1250-12 and a cheap knockoff no-name brand from Amazon. There's no frills with this switch, just plug and play. I get full bandwidth over the SFP+ from my router (Asus RT-AX89X) with my PC connected to one of the 4 2.5gbps ports. This is only day 1 but I'm just pleased that it works. This switch handles ALL my internet traffic except the wifi from the main router. My node/access point wifi units are plugged into this switch to eliminate any unnecessary switching duties from my router (the only cable plugged into my main router is the SFP+) . I will update this review if anything changes.

It works and uses very little electricity
I've been using this low wattage switch for over a year and it just works. No issues at all with the SFP+ sockets.

Pretty solid
Pretty good so far. Plug and play, uses 4w on my powermeter (2x10gbps, 2x1gpbs), produces no noise because no fan and (the exterior) never got warm enough for me to think it was overheating, would stay below body temperature. Only had one issue: one of my computers (connect-x3) hung and the switch was power cycling forever while that computer was still hung and connected. This has only happened once and I don't know which started the issue, but the switch wouldn't stop resetting while the computer was in the broken state (which affected other machines). Resetting the computer fixed it and haven't replicated the issue. In a home environment this isn't an issue, but might consider this if you have remote computers you needed to manage.

Lasted 18 months
Light use on my home network, died after 18 months. I bought QNAP as I wanted quality and reliability.

Easy plug and play switch
This worked great to bridge my NAS and Router to my modem. Affordable and thereโs a variety of styles. I have SPF so thatโs what I chose but they have RJ45 Copper versions as well. If you donโt need to trunk/aggregate anything this is a stable solution. Has been up and running for over a month now.๐

No problems... it just works
Update November 2023: Perfect uptime for 7 months in a row and counting! Original review in April 2023: I cannot comment on tech support or the old version of this switch that is no longer available for sale, which some people apparently said disconnected all the time because of loop errors or whatever. I'm writing about the "QSW-2104-2S (NEW)" version, which "simply works." No real configuration, it's just an unmanaged switch where you jam all your random stuff together and have the switch deal with it. I'm using both of the SFP+ 10G ports (desktop, NAS), and two of the combo 1/2.5G ports (connecting backup computer and my router and from there the modem and internet). No disconnections or heat problems or anything that I can tell after a couple of months. I'm happy with it.

****DO NOT BUY**** - Massive incompatibility issues.
This switch has a known issue regarding its very limited comparability with fiber optic transceivers. These problems are well documented on enthusiast networking forums. I could not get this switch to negotiate with any of my fiber optic transceivers. I contacted QNAP support and was told they have no plans to release any new revisions of this product, nor provide software updates since this is an unmanned switch. Save your money and buy something else.
