like where I live. I live in a very rural area that's prone to severe storms and we lose our electric more than most. I have these little light switches all over the house and boy, do they ever come in handy when the lights go out. So bright you almost can't even look at them, just one lights up a room enough to see comfortably and because they're LED they last a good long while on batteries. We had a blackout last fall that lasted for 7 hours and I had some of these on the entire time and they still have juice left in the battery. There are a few downsides - I wish they didn't each need three batteries, but it's not like we use these all that often. For those that do, I would suggest rechargeable batteries. Their usefulness outweighs their battery requirements.

Unlike others that I have seen these do not include batteries. The Velcro attachments stick to the walls but not to the plastic of the units so you will likely need to use at least one screw in the wall to keep them from falling to the floor in a day or two, They do provide some helpful light in dark places but there are better versions and values out there if you look. They need to improve their Velcro fasteners.

Gives very bright light when there is no power. Very convenient , magnets hold it on refrigerator , so that my 90 yr. old mother can find it easily. I purchased them for her to use during power outage. She keeps one by her bed, her recliner & the bathroom. Easy for her to use....just flip the switch. Size is good , small enough for her to handle.Now she has a light no matter where she is when the power goes out.

I purchase some similar last year at Walmart but they no longer had the ones with the flip switch. I've found these to work great. I strictly use these in my camper for storage areas (under the bed, closets, deep cabinets, closets etc.) They throw off plenty of light so I can find what I'm looking for. These work better than the LED puck style lights I had previously. Batteries last longer and they're brighter. I do use a 3M Scotch Fastener instead of what comes with it. 4 stars due to having to use other wall mounts.

The lights themselves are great and work well. They are really bright and make a great emergency light. The switch plate design. is clever and unobtrusive, and it fits anywhere next to an existing switch or door way They are also handy for travel. The only problem is that the stick on velcro attachments do not adhere to all surfaces well andsometimes fall off. They need to be attached with screws. I highly recommend them for emergency lighting.

I keep one of these wonderful GLOLUX lights in every room and a couple in the basement. DO NOT buy the mini knockoff version of the GLOLUX lights! They are horrible, cheap little things and are assembled upside down and don’t have the magnets that the GLOLUX brand lights have. Keep some batteries on hand and replace them regularly so they don’t leak and ruin your lights!

I sent these to my 97 year old mother because they said BRIGHT. This is a joke they aren't even as bright as a night light and I can't even return them because my mother who lives 1200 miles away threw away all the packaging.

These lights are extremely bright and awesome in their own way. Unfortunately the purchase of them is Step 1 of 3. You’ll need 18 AAA batteries for Step 2. Then there’s the mounting issue. The teensy Velcro tans they provide does NOT hold the product in place! I bought big Velcro and will take it from there. There are other mounting options with a hammer and nails or screws. Good luck.
