We did not receive any written instructions. None of us has figured out how to close up the shade. Years ago I owned some pop up squares of a similar material and there was a trick to closing those, but I mastered it easily and had no problem. Now we don’t know what to do with this shade since we finally managed to flatten it and don’t want to let the monster out by opening it again. What a pain. Review: Difficult to fold - The tent is very sturdy and well made. It unfolds for use with no problem. However, it is very difficult to fold it up to pack it back in the bag. Pops open super easily and collapses easily as well after some practice. I bought it to take on our Hawaiian vacation for my kids to nap in at the beach. I'm a little disappointed that it's WAY too big to fit in a suitcase or carry on to a plane (completely collapsed it is a 30" diameter circle) so I'll have to pack it in the box it came in and check it.
