Good 12v multitool
After a few days of use the product so far is 5/5.If you are wanting a solid multi tool and already have Bosch 12v batteries this is a good option. (Batteries are not included with this item). However, in my case while it arrived in a box that looked new, the multitool itself appeared lightly dirty, as if it had been used once and returned or refurbished and resold. It is also possible dirt somehow got into the packaging or the production floor was slightly dirtier… just odd. It’s a tool so it was going to get dirty anyways, but if it is not new it should be labeled as such.Overall, I’d recommend this multi tool to someone that wants a solid, good value lightweight tool that runs on the 12v battery family. 18v would last longer and has more power but this should be good enough for the majority of DIYers or for construction not overly reliant on this specific tool.

Great utility
Works great, why did I wait this long to get one? You may have trouble finding attachments, not the most common system.

Starlock tool
Already got a Bosch 12v drill and recipricating saw. Not for professional use or heavy home use, but for normal household chores, these work great. Wanted an oscillating tool to find out why everyone like these things and wanted to stay in the Bosck 12v family so I could use the same batteries. Like the other tools, this is not meant for heavy duty use, but is great for light duties. Downside is that the tool uses Starlock accessories. I don’t have an existing stash of accessories, but the Starlock accessories do seem limited in choice and more expensive. QC could have been better…battery light on the tool goes out after a few seconds and overall tool seemed “dirty” upon arrival - not enough to classify as used, but maybe refurbished.. This incarnation of the tool is getting long in the tooth. Time for Bosch to make version 2.

Cordless Chisel Power in a Small Starlock Package
When it comes to oscillating multi-tools, no company seems to do it better than Bosch. This tool was purchased as a compliment to the Bosch GOP18V-28N for mostly light-duty jobs that require a more precise degree of control that is difficult to achieve with the larger, heavier 18V version. It's not only appreciably smaller, but weighs around 2 lb (w/ battery), or about half that of the Bosch 18V brushless multi-tool. And this tool does not disappoint with its smooth operation; vibrations (at the grip) are practically non-existent even at the highest speed setting. While there are many 12V multi-tools available from other manufacturers, this is the only one that currently offers a brushless motor, so output power and battery life should be somewhat better than competing models.Although the blade change process is not tool-less like it's larger 18V cousins, it's relatively quick since a built-in magnet holds the attachment in position while threading the screw and tightening with the furnished wrench. Bosch probably opted to use a simple fastening screw due to size and weight considerations, instead of the blade change lever found on their other Starlock models. The only downside here is that there is no onboard storage for the hex key.My only complaint is that Bosch does not offer this tool as a complete kit with batteries and charger as it does for its other 12V tools, such as drills and impact drivers.Highly recommended. especially for light-duty tasks or situations where precise blade control is important.

Read before purchase, +updates
Updates included in review:I hate to do this to Bosch. But, they only deserve two stars on this tool. To begin with, you should know starlock's compatibility is one way. Starlock will fit most other mounts. But, other mounts will not fit starlock. So, if you have another multitool that isn't starlock already, I'd stay away from this one. I have alot of spare blades for my old corded multitool. None will fit this Bosch. Now I have to buy different blades that happen to be waaaay more expensive in order to use this tool. 2nd, no such luck having a quick connect on this tool. You have to completely remove the center bolt to change blades or change the current blade's orientation. 3rd, the hex wrench used to remove that bolt, does not have onboard storage. It has to be kept separate. They assume you'll always keep it in your blade box. But it would be more user friendly to have a slot on the tool for storage. 4th, as others have already commented, the stickers & labels were not applied neatly or accurately. Quality control is lacking in that department. I understand & agree that sticker application does not affect utility. But, if they are willing to show you they don't care about the stuff you can see, what are they doing on parts you can't see? I own a handyman & construction company. In my business, time is directly tied to money. So, between the cost of starlock blades & the time to find the wrench & change the blade, I will not purchase this item again. I can only reasonably recommend it to a light do-it-youselfer. This tool has fallen far from the Bosch tree! Pics are included of different blades. The starlock has "Bosch" on the blade.Update to an already bad review: the box that comes with this tool, meant to hold your extra blades, is useless. I bought some spare blades (@ roughly $9 a piece), and because of the dividers molded into the box you cannot store many blades. And the places where blades will fit, once you get them in you cannot get them back out without turning the box over. The tool itself runs batteries down faster than any other Bosch 12V tool that I have.2nd updateAfter approximately 2 hours of collective use on this tool, over the past 3 months, the switch is now beginning to fail. About every 3rd time I switch it on, nothing will happen. I have to switch it off & then back on to get it to start. I have dropped the rating down to 1 star, & I would not reccomend this tool to anyone. There are much better oscillating tools out there! For shame Bosch, you guys just lost another customer.
