Aura HD Digital Picture Frame | Carver: The Best Frame for Gifting

I recently purchased this digital photo frame for my grandparents who live out of state, and it has been such a wonderful gift for them. I regularly load new pictures and videos of my son, and they absolutely love seeing the updates. The best part is that they don’t have to do anything—new images just appear for them to enjoy. The setup was incredibly easy, and the frame itself is excellent quality. Both the photos and videos display beautifully, making it well worth the price. It’s a thoughtful way to stay connected and share moments with loved ones who are far away.

I bought my Aura Carver frame in May 2024. It replaced another brand which either could not or would not connect to the newer WiFi in my house, which the Aura has no problem with. Pros for the Aura (1) very easy to connect to WiFi 6 and higher; (2) very easy to setup once I downloaded the app on iPhone: (3) also plays videos with sound; (4) has auto turn on and off via a light sensor, so I never missed any images by forgetting to turn it on; (5) clear, sharp photos; (6) easy to adjust setting like how long the picture displays and to go back to one you wanted to set again; (6) infinite capacity for photos (I have over 1100); (7) very easy to add photos; (8) world class customer service. My screen failed, gradually (over 3-4 days) but totally. Online chat help was good but unsuccessful, but email customer support was confusing since they are in London (England) and I had to to calculations of how many hours I was different (8 hours) to try to contact them. No phone number is listed. I finally got pissed and sent them an email, on a Friday and knowing they were already closed in England for the weekend. Astonishingly, I got several replies over the weekend, and by the time we connected on Monday they had already sent me a replacement unit. It arrived three days later, and walked me through the process of transferring all the photos. It went flawlessly and quickly. The company even followed up by reaching out to me to see if I had any questions or issues. Note that I have given this device as presents to other people because I like the frames so much. My own frame has a place of prominence in the house, where my wife and I, and guests, can watch it and get immersed in the photos and memories. Now that traveling is harder for us, we love to see pictures of where we went and who we were with. The concept of digital frames itself is great, but this is easily the easiest to use and the highest quality of the five frames we have owned over the years.

I purchased this for my father when they sent him home to be on hospice. The idea was all the kids could contribute to photos that he was fond or and he could enjoy those memories. I'm happy to say it was a great success. I was on the phone with him many times when he would say "I'm looking at a photo of ... " and he really enjoyed seeing those photos and talking about the memories. I love that anyone with the link can contribute. I have since taken the frame home and am enjoying the same beautiful memories. I highly recommend this frame!

I really like my Aura. I previously had a nixplay for many years, but was disappointed when Nixplay began requiring a subscription for $30 a year. I love that Aura has no subscription and unlimited data. The image quality is excellent. It is very easy to invite friends and family to contribute. I like that you can either use the app or just text a photo and it will be uploaded. I like that you can press the button on top and it says where the photo was taken. I am very happy with this replacement for my nixplay which broke after many years. And I appreciate not having a subscription.

We originally got this as a wedding gift and loved it so much that we’ve since bought two more! The picture quality is great, and I love how many photos it can hold. One of the best features is being able to add friends and family so they can upload pictures directly—it makes it really special and interactive. We’re honestly obsessed with it and highly recommend it as a gift or for your own home!

As of today (June 13, 2026), we now have THREE of these in the home, each with its own theme of photos. The first frame has been in constant use since October 2023. The second arrived in 2024. The latest is a collection of photos taken on or about our anniversary (and wedding day of course). Remarkable easy to set up. The app asks for bluetooth authorization then finds the frame, synchronizes either it, tells it the WiFi network to use and so on. A lot going on, but at the human end it's simple. Love that it can be set to shut off the display when the room is dark. We get occasional power outages, but the frames just automatically recover when the power returns. Finally, for what it's worth, the packaging is elegant and just looks like "Quality".

Im a photographer, so I have thousands of pictures and it's impossible to choose which ones to print. I loved the concept of a high quality digital frame to display my work. I have tried many products that promise me that, but they all have huge issues like screen quality, terrible software experience or just plain uglyness. The Aura Frame is the first digital frame that just works. It looks good on my living room, the screen is of a good enough quality, the app works great, the ambient light sensors work perfectly. The one feature I was surprised I loved was the easy setup experience to give the Aura frame as a gift for my parents. They are terrible with technology, so being able to easily set everything up for them from anywhere in the world was great. That's why I bought 2. One for me and one for my parents, and they love them, because they have up to date pictures of their grandkids. I have 3 issues I would like to see improved: 1) Make the screen a 3:2 ratio. Almost all cameras and phones shoot pictures in a 3:2 ratio, but the Aura frame screen ratio is 16:10. So the software automatically crops pictures so they fill the screen. This is annoying and sometimes messes up the composition of my photos. The software lets me "uncrop" the pictures, but only one by one. I would love is there was an option to avoid cropping ALL pictures. I have thousands of them, I don't have the time to go one by one. Or bettet yet, use a 3:2 screen. Problem solved. 2) Fix the randomness of photos. I don't know why, but the frame tends to show me the same few photos all the time, instead of randomly going through the thousands I have in my gallery. Seems like a basic software thing and an easy fix. Maybe program "not show this picture again until all other pictures in the gallery have been shown". 3) Use a screen with better viewing angles. The screen is fine, but it could be better, specially at different angles. I would love to pay for an OLED screen with true blacks and great viewing angles. In summary, Im very happy with the product and company. I hope they do well, so they keep improving their products with better screens and hopefully, bigger sizes.

Loving this frame. I got it as a gift for my husband. This brand is pricier than most, but there is no limit to the amount of photos you can send. There is no hidden fees or subscriptions required. So basically, pay once and it’s done. The display quality is amazing- exact image of what you send it. Setup is incredibly easy and the app allows you to invite others to send pics (you have the option to allow it to go directly to the frame or the option to approve the photo first). I love getting updated pics from family without having to check an email or social media account. If you have additional Aura frames or give as a gift, they can be added all in one app. Seriously so simple. I love that I can send photos to multiple frames (I’ve gifted two already and have one myself). I have a white framed one and a black framed one. I like the black framed one better as it displays as seamless, but that’s just personal preference.

I find this display excellent and used to remember our dogs life throughout 15yrs. The frame is good quality and easy to use, the photos and videos are displayed in high quality. Very easy for family to share photos on it. I would highly recommend Aura frames and will be buying another to display grandkids pics. You will not be disappointed with an Aura frame, highly recommend.
