Very hard to control - you need ZERO wind to be able to control it as the material and the product itself is very light. Over a year now it just stays in the box.

It wasn’t very easy to get it to work but it worked just not very well and not for very long. Still fun to use though!!!

I think this drone is made for older kids - like school-aged and above because it can get dangerous. I mean, it's really fun but it goes super fast even on level one. We tried using it inside during the first use and I wouldn't recommend it. It was bumping into everything and one of the blades ended up getting damaged. This drone takes some practice at first, especially for those who have never flown a drone before. We finally headed outside and had more fun, but be prepared to do a lot of running around to chase this thing. Just be careful with it while the blades are running because I accidentally picked it up and hurt my hand. Luckily, it wasn't my kid. Anyway, probably not the best starter drone because of its speed, but fun nonetheless.

The first thing I noticed after unboxing was how incredibly small and light this is. That's not really surprising, as lighter weight means smaller (cheaper) motors can be used. It also means less damage when you crash. The body is about 7 inches long and made of mainly polypropylene foam (EPP), which is sort of like styrofoam but more durable. It comes with two lithium polymer batteries that use the typical red JST connector.The remote needs a Phillips screwdriver to take off the battery cover, which was not included. It requires 3 AAA batteries, also not included.I was able to pair and fly right away. Pressing the takeoff button spins up the propellers and puts it into a hover about 4 feet off the ground. However, I had mixed results with the controls. I own other drones, and have experience flying them, but struggled with this one. It just seemed to veer off course too much and do whatever it wanted. It wouldn't respect my control inputs consistently. It's possible that this was due to the very light wind, or radio interference. Trimming didn't seem to help. I almost lost it a few times as it just flew off by itself. It's too bad because I think this drone could be really fun, great for beginners and a good value, but I found it too unpredictable.

To start, this drone is for kids and is not intended for an adult or to have advanced features. Understanding that this is a simple drone that can fly around for beginners, this item is great. The batteries charged very quick once we received it and we were off to flying it without trouble. I really like that the 4 propellers are all protected by the frame of the drone so you don't have to worry about damaging them which is a huge problem on other cheaper drones. It is fun and somewhat easy to fly and I expect it to a last a good bit until ready to graduate up to the next level. Be sure to follow all of the instructions for setup and calibration and it will make your life so much easier as you can use the auto-takeoff feature which is incredibly helpful along with the landing feature which is triggered by the same button in the middle of the remote. Overall a great drone for the price!
