Trash RBG lights
The rgb lights are traaaash. Horrible interface with glitchy performance. I mean polychrome synch was always notorious for horrible RGB options. Terrible app, terrible light choices, half the time it doesn’t work, every little download for computer performance will hinder the light useless. If you want lights, don’t get it because you’ll be frustrated.Other than that, decent mobo.

Excellent BIOS
I love the way the BIOS is setup on this board! It took one click to set up PBO, limit thermals to 85C (never hit that anyways), and set curve optimizer to -30. It took two clicks to set my RAM to EXPO with aggressive timings.All of this would have taken me about 5 or 6 minutes to set manually with the Asus TUF board I had previously. It takes less than 1 minute to reset up my BIOS settings after an update with the Taichi. BIOS updates are also pushed in a timely manner and do a good job addressing issues or improving optimization. A patch for the issue AMD had with voltages was released very quickly while AMD worked on AGESA 1.0.0.7, and a beta BIOS was also released quickly as soon as AMD released AGESA 1.0.0.7 to the public. System is also completely stable with the aggressive RAM timings, both under gaming and studio workloads.The VRMs are also way overkill and have an active cooling fan that I can’t even hear over the super quiet Fractal Designs Torrent case, which is awesome. In the box was an active cooled M.2 heat sink for the PCIe 5.0 NVME slot, a very nice touch since 5.0 SSDs will no doubt run very hot.

This is the one of the most stable X670E AM5 motherboards available.
The media could not be loaded. I had some issues with the optical audio output randomly not playing any sound at random points, but that's been fixed, and it works great now. All the USB ports are fast, a couple of them being USB 4.0, and a lot of them being USB 3.2. It has Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 built in, meaning you're getting the latest wireless standards. There's 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet. Once the audio issue got fixed, this became one of the best stable AM5 motherboards available, especially after ASUS's latest blunders. If you plan to upgrade to any AM5 CPU, get this. Keep in mind you will also need to buy a kit of DDR5 RAM, preferably 6000 MHz.

On my 2nd new MB and both were defective.
Installed my replacement Asrock Taichi x670e motherboard and both were defective. I can’t tell you how disappointed I am and how much time I have lost building and trouble shooting both rigs only to find out that they products were defective from the factory.

NVME heat problems, USB-C problems, technical weirdness.
If you have plan on running an air-cooled GPU in the top PCIe slot, it might be a problem if you also plan on using the two NVME slots between the PCI slots. These two NVME slots are under a heat spreader right beneath where your card is going to sit. If your GPU vents any air down, it will slowly ROAST these NVME drives. The heat spreader for these drives just soaks up the exhaust heat from the GPU and never seems to cool down.I've been experiencing some kind of (probably) driver issue that prevents the USB-C ports on the board from working correctly, transfer speeds drop to zero fast and then devices disconnect. Both the USB-C on the back of the machine and the USB-C header for the front panel behave this way. I observed this behavior right out of the box before any configuration changes and it persists after flashing to the most recent bios. Bad unit?Also, due to some quirk in the board design, having Thunderbolt enabled will make Windows think that the NVME drive installed in the slot between the CPU and top PCIe slot is a removable drive. So that little icon will live in your system tray at all times. Not a big deal, but weird.
