## Overview

The Walrus Audio Eons Five-State Fuzz is a compact, analog fuzz pedal featuring a unique five-position rotary knob for diverse clipping configurations and a voltage control knob that adjusts power from 3 to 18 volts. This allows players to sculpt fuzz tones ranging from vintage soft clipping to aggressive, high-gain distortion. Designed for guitarists, bassists, and synth players, it delivers thick, dynamic fuzz inspired by classic Woodstock-era sounds and punk rock energy, all in a durable 300g package.

## Description

For Eons, man has thought the sound of thunder to be from the heavens above, echoing boastfully over us as we stay safe from its greatness. However, legend tells of a stoic and indomitable beast residing in the highest mountains seen and heard only by the most brash of travelers. With gnarled and twisted horns, this creature emits a sound thicker than Earth's crust to command attention and warn all who stand in his way. This is Eons. Eons is a five-state fuzz capable of massively thick sounds ready to test the limits of any amp's grill cloth. Use the Voltage (lightning bolt) knob to crank up to 18 volts into the pedal's circuit for massive, open fuzz sounds, or choose to starve it down to 3 volts for spatty, gated fuzz. Experiment with the Voltage and Mode knobs for nearly endless styles of fuzz tones. Find vintage-inspired sounds emanating from the stages of Woodstock to chaotic three-chord punk rock. Eons is ready for a fight. The Eons features a five-position rotary knob that offers the following clipping configurations. Think of them as different "flavors" of the pedal: I. Silicon soft clipping traditional fuzz that's well rounded with a huge sound; compressed and smooth. II. Silicon clipping with an added bass boost that boosts the low end at the beginning of the circuit; compressed and crunchy. III. Germanium soft clipping with a feel of "what if a distortion and fuzz had a kid?"; crunchy and dynamic. IV. LED clipping diodes with a slight high-end cut; dynamically dark. V. Hard clipping silicon transistors combined with LED and Silicon soft clipping diodes. The rowdiest of the modes with tons of gain: compressed, loud, and angry.

Review: Gear nerds rejoice...I hadn't purchased a pedal in a long long time as I was quite happy with my setup. I don't ever post reviews like this but I have nothing bad to say. In the last year or two, I wanted something that went harder than my overdrive pedal (ibanez ts-808). As a person that works in the audio industry, once I saw this pedal I knew I needed it because of the voltage control. I would say this pedal is insanely versatile. It gives you 5 fuzz / distortions circuits in one box and they all sound incredible. The voltage knob is so cool for dialing it a tone, making stuff sustain, or giving you a lo-fi 'broken and bit crushed' effect. I primarily use this for guitar but have used it with bass and synths and it rips. If you're hesitant because of the price tag keep it mind that it does so much...Most gain pedals you're paying for one circuit. This pedal is a winner and now a mainstay on the pedal board.
Review: Another great, versatile and unique pedal from the innovative folks at walrus thats sure to stay relevant for decades and be a sought after pedal when production ends. Got more than a dozen walrus pedals, only other pedals i use are boss, and im impressed again by how they were able to squeeze so much into one pedal. My other fuzz is the walrus jupiter which is a favorite of mine, it has its own sonic identity compared to the eons pedal, i recommend both👌

This is the first fuzz pedal I got. Researched alot of fuzz pedals before buying and the versatility this pedal promised made me settle on it. I wasn't disappointed. It quickly became my favorite pedal. Didn't know how much I liked fuzz until I tried this. It was everything I hoped it would be. The only have one problem I have with it is isn't sound or tone related. It's the look and feel of the pedal. The pedal is not cheap and I also had to pay for shipping and taxes. But even if you're just going to pay the retail price it's still on the expensive side. With that price tag I would hope it would also look and feel expensive. I have 100 dollar pedals that feel more sturdy than this. The power button is the same as a pedal thats priced at 30-40 dollars. And the design and artwork is mediocre and uninspired. I know at the end of the day it's what's on the inside that really counts and that's why I do recommend this one if you're looking for your first fuzz or for a versatile fuzz. It sounds great and you will definitely find a sound that suits your every fuzz needs. As for looks. It looks and feels cheap.
