This is a great manga. It is a great story with excellent artwork and great character development throughout the series. It is also suitable for all ages.If you don't know anything about the game of Go and how it relates to Japanese, Chinese and Korean culture, this series provides a nice introduction to that world wrapped in great story-crafting and artwork.

This volume basically part of episode 79 of the anime and the events that followed it.Leading towards the Hokuto prelim.So it showed in details what was happening at the end of that episode.I always like the drawing in the manga .

If you've gotten to the end of the anime and are looking for more of the story without going to the beginning of the manga, this is a good place to start. The last events of the anime are portrayed in the first chapters, which creates a strong transition into the manga. It's pleasing to see how true the manga is to the anime, and while the anime adds significantly with the soundtrack and outstanding voices, after a few chapters I found them happily accompanying my reading.Shindo is confidently moving forward into the world of the pros, and now that he's come to terms with what he will be without Sai at his side, his Go has matured significantly. His rank is low due to all those forfeited games, but his strength has become apparent to anyone watching, to the chagrin of other low-ranked players matched with him. The artwork is lovely and the story compelling and I highly recommend the series in general as well as this specific volume.It doesn't take much time to read them, so you might as well purchase all the volumes to the end while you're at it, or else you'll be anxiously awaiting their delivery when you finish this one. You'll be glad you did.
