CAP Olympic Barbell - 5FT, 6FT, & 7FT Strength Training Weight Bars, Multiple Options

Exactly what I needed for home gym. I’m not hard on stuff, and this still looks like new after 5 months of regular 3x week use. I’m happy with the weight of the bar and ease of use. I wish the knurling was a little more pronounced, I really have to look at my hand position rather than just feeling it.

My husband and I have had a wide variety from low to mid-range fitness and strength products over the years, so when he wanted a lower-priced Oly barbell, we thought of Cap as our experiences have overall been good with them for over 25 years. We have found that sometimes their chromed equipment has sharp edges or flakes, so we went with the 60in, Solid Bar, Black. My husband is lifting 300 pounds max - usually less - and I'm lifting 100 or under, so this bar seemed good. And it is just what we wanted. It's lighter than an official bar but heavier than a 1-inch standard bar, the black finish is attractive with no flaking or sharp edges at all. The knurling is comfortable and grippy. The sleeves don't stick, and while I don't think they have bearings or bushings, for this price, we weren't expecting any. The black finish is coming off of the sleeves in a couple small places, but for the price, we expected that. We're using it almost daily, with and without a small rack, and are completely satisfied. This is a budget-priced all-solid bar, so we didn't expect an Ohio Power Bar or something like that. We bought this bar as it will work for our needs and costs around 1/4 of the price of a value bar and about 1/8th of a price or less of a high end bar, but we don't need a high end bar. And to bring a solid bar in at this price range, there are going to be compromises, but we knew that going in. Overall if you don't want to spend too much money but don't want a hollow barbell, this is a solid option. We're getting a lot of use out of it, and plan to keep using it for years to come.

I've been using this bar 3-4 times a week for three years now. It is holding up well -- some of the paint / finish has started flaking off, but I don't mind as it hasn't affected my use at all. 5 foot bar can easily fit enough weight for my needs -- I use it in my tiny basement home gym. Excellent value, would recommend.

Getting back into a regular workout routine & using my home gym. Our 7ft (45#) barbell was just too much for me to handle & my coach/trainer recommended this one in the 5 ft / 25#. It fits well on my rack & I already had the plates, etc. needed which fit great. The finish is great on it. I don't have any issues handling it or adding plates to it. The end clamps just need a little extra wiggling but they way better on this bar vs the old one. Time will tell how it holds up with rust & durability but so far, it's great. It's really helped me up my workouts & am very happy with it.

The packaging caught me off guard. It looked like they didn’t have a box long enough for the barbell, so one end was sticking out of the box during shipping. Both end caps were damaged, but fortunately the barbell itself arrived without any damage. I bought the 5ft bar mainly for exercises like hip thrusts, overhead presses, and bicep curls. My 7ft olympic bar is a little too long for those movements because I’m petite. This shorter bar is much easier to handle and move around. The loadable sleeves are long enough for my needs. I can fit 35lb, 25lb, 15lb, and 10lb plates with a little room left over. One thing I was disappointed by is that the shaft is shorter than I expected, so it doesn’t fit on my squat rack. I’ll only be using it for exercises from the floor. Be aware that the dimensions listed in the product description are inaccurate, so I’d recommend double checking before buying. The overall length is correctly listed as 5ft (60inches), but my measurements are: Shaft: 32 3/4” Knurling: 10” (each) Loadable sleeve: 12” (each) Collar: 1 5/8” (each) Considering the low price, I think the overall quality is very good. The knurling and finish both exceeded my expectations. Just make sure the actual dimensions will work for your rack and intended use before purchasing.

Bought 5 foot bar to use with my 7 foot one for works out. Great addition to gym.

This 6ft barbell has been a great addition to my home gym. It feels solid and well-balanced, with a comfortable grip that makes lifting feel secure and controlled. It fits standard plates easily and works well for a variety of exercises like squats, presses, rows, and deadlifts. The bar has a nice weight to it and feels durable, with no bending or flexing during use.

No complaints what so ever. I started getting back into fitness and I found this item as a great option. I'm not yet able to deadlift or squat the weight I use to so I don't know how this will hold up but I'm sure it'll do fine. So far 250lbs is easy work for this stubborn barbell.

This barbell feels substantial and works well with standard 2-inch Olympic plates. The grip provides enough texture without being excessively aggressive and the sleeves fit plates properly. It is a very useful foundation for a home gym because it can be used for presses, rows, squats, deadlifts and many other exercises.
