Had a really bad bed bug problem in our bedroom. Had pest control in 3 times and bites have finally gone down. It’s been nearly 3 months now but brought these traps around a month or two ago. Unsure on the effectiveness yet. Haven’t seen any bugs in them which is a good thing, however I found a live bug on the floor during the night by the bed, making me wonder if it was a stray or there’s been more that the traps may not have caught? Conflicted on use at the moment, guess time will tell! Hopefully they do their job

These bed bug traps are good in trapping bed bugs that are entering your bed from the floor, which is where many bed bugs will access / depart your bed after feeding. Not so good obviously if they access the bed from drawers attached to your bed or from the mattress or skirting. The reason why my score is not higher is that whilst the product is effective for beds with 4 poles / runners / feet, for beds which have a 5th and 6th foot for the headstand, the product is not big enough to cover both feet nor small enough for one to purchase another 2 interceptors to put a 5th or 6th product underneath . This might mean that bugs could access your bed because the interceptor is not effectively squashed by forcing the 2 feet onto the 1 interceptor. There does not appear a way around this problem but I would definitely recommend the product if you have a bed-bug problem and you sleep in a bog-standard bed with 4 feet and your headstand does not require a separate interceptor

Did what it’s supposed to do - prevented bed bugs from getting on the bed. Found several dead in the “valley” between the two walls. I sprayed the walls with bed bug powder first and once the bugs entered they couldn’t climb back out and were poisoned by the bed bug powder (sold separately)

They didn't catch one bedbug! I don't see how these work, they are just open plastic trays that you put on the leg of each bed. It would be equally useful to put tupperware containers at each foot of the bed. Total waste of money.

You may need to use more talcum powder to put extra layer of protection but it did sort out problem

The Amazon write-up says it is suitable for any floor (see at the top of the page). When it arrived the instructions say it is not suitable for plush carpets. My carpets are not plush but on installing the third trap and lowering the bed gently, there was a crack as the trap gave way. The instructions instruct you to dispose of it and buy a new trap. Well, if it breaks on the first attempt, it will break on the second - which is pretty obvious and I would be throwing away good money after bad. Frankly, the material that these are made from is too thin unless you have hard flooring. I suspect these will have to be returned.

AGGIORNAMENTO RECENSIONE DOPO UN ANNO!!! Dopo molti mesi che non le controllavo, oggi ho deciso, ad oltre un anno dalla posa delle trappole di metterle via. Con mia grande sorpresa ho visto che tre delle 8 trappole contenevano una decina di cimici morte da tempo al terzo stadio di sviluppo, vale a dire nello stadio dove hanno bisogno di sangue per passare allo stadio successivo. Le cimici si trovavano nel cerchio esterno, il che prova che provenivano dalle tane fuori dal letto. QUESTO PROVA L'EFFICACIA DEL PRODOTTO e il fatto che le cimici sono purtroppo maledettamente longeve, ho letto che possono stare a digiuno anche un anno - anno e mezzo - prima di morire di fame. Importante: il letto va tenuto staccato da pareti, mobili, le lenzuola e le coperte non devono toccare per terra. Solo le gambe del letto devono toccare per terra all'interno delle trappole. RECENSIONE DOPO ACQUISTO Prodotto smart, sicuro ed efficace. Consente di catturare le cimici che si spostano dalle fessure della camera al letto attirate dal calore del corpo e dall’anidride carbonica. Se il letto è stato disinfestato a dovere impedisce alle cimici di raggiungervi e mordervi. Ho provveduto a disinfezione col vapore, di letto e stanza ma una deve essere sfuggita. La trappola dopo varie settimane l’ha catturata. Tenete conto che le cimici sono estremamente longeve, possono sopravvivere anche mesi a digiuno, quindi tenetele a lungo e disinfestate a vapore regolarmente. Gli insetticidi sono inefficaci, l’alternativa se non funziona col vapore è una disinfestazione fatta da professionisti con l’azoto, procedura però piuttosto costosa (svariate centinaia di euro) e senza garanzia di risultato (quindi da ripetere).

Easy and effective. I bought them for a chair I thrifted. So far so good. They are big, but I did that on purpose so I could have them for other pieces that are larger (they are reusable simply using corn starch).
