Don't blame me if I'm wrong though! It's a nifty little tuner anyhow. **Q: Can this be used to tune a left-handed ukulele?** A: Yes - the four strings are still tuned to the same pitch, just upside down compared to a right hand instrument. **Q: Wil this work on a guitalele?** A: Sure - just select chromatic mode. It sits on the end of my uke and fits easily into the front pouch of my gig bag and is really easy to use. The one button makes it really simple and the screen is really clear. Really useful piece of kit when I'm still learning what all the notes should sound like and good for getting it EXACTLY in tune. Really, really pleased with this purchase! So far, I haven't had any problems with the battery but I make sure to turn it off straight after I've tuned and to fold it back down out of the way, (there's no reason for it to be on once I have tuned my uke). It was so simple to use and very accurate. As a beginner, I had spent most of Sunday trying to tune it by ear using various websites and apps. The sounds varied so much depending on which site you were on and I ended up downloading loads of apps which were of no use at all and I still wasn't confident that it was actually in tune.I was so relieved when this little tuner arrived this morning. I just wish I had bought it at the same time that I bought the ukulele as it would have saved me hours of frustration. It feels nice to handle, is well made, it fits on the head of the ukulele securely and the screen is very easy to see. The letter and/or number glows green when you correctly tune the string. I am pleased that I did so because I received a tuner which looks well made and is very easy to use. Having set the mode to Ukulele (the tuner also works for Chromatic, Guitar, Bass and Violin but will remain in Ukulele mode without any further resetting by me), the display colour changes to green when the strings are tuned to G, C, E and A (it even displays the string number i.e. 1, 2, 3 or 4 associated with each note). I imagine that I will be constantly having to retune my new ukulele.
