It is practically impossible to release it accidentally. It is quick but it needs carefully applied pressure at the right points to release it. So my expensive Nikon camera is safe! And it’s very easy to remove the strap when needed. Secondly the strap that goes around the wrist is excellent. It can be adjusted to gently tighten around the wrist and it can be washed. If it gets wrinkled, the instructions say just leave it the sun and they will disappear. And the small loops that go through the camera fixings are just perfect. Review: Good wrist strap for Olympus E-M5 - I've never been very happy with the stock Olympus strap on my E-M5; it feels overkill having such a small camera flapping around on my neck as it just bounces around. I bought a Black Rapid Metro to carry the camera on my shoulder and although it's very comfortable it's quite bulky and it doesn't see much use. Seeking something less bulky I bought the Op/Tech Cam Strap QD and it's hardly left the camera since. The E-M5 is light enough to carry in my hand and this strap is comfortable and gives me some security when using it. The only downside is that if I use the E-M5 with the portrait batter grip, then this strap isn't quite long enough to use in portrait mode, so I'm deducting one star for that. This is it! I'm very pleased with it indeed! After several months of use in a variety of conditions (I enjoy hill walking) it's as good today as when I purchased it. It's easy to slip over the wrist making the camera feel secure whilst in use. The strap material has some give in it which allows unhindered adjustment of the camera settings without the necessity of loosening the strap. I did initially have some reservations about the security of the detachable clasp, but these were soon dispelled as it's of a very good quality and robust construction.
