These cushioned edges were easy to cut to fit and have been in use for the last couple of months. One corner did come off when my 10mth old was playing but it was easily stuck down again (and it was because the stone underneath was uneven to start with) and he hasn't been interested in them- too busy doing other things. I can see why some might be interested in playing with them- babies are interested in everything after all. However, even if there is a risk of one being pulled off, or bitten, that pales into insignificance compared to the potential instant trauma of a fall onto a stone hearth- I can prevent pulling/chewing/swallowing but might not be quick enough to prevent a bad fall. These edges are fantastic and I'm buying more for another room.Update- My son is now 21 months and the cushions are still in place and working perfectly. Such a great product that has saved us from a few bumps along the way.

After looking around for something like this i was impressed with the price on amazon so thought i would try it. With our daughter now getting to 6 months and starting to roll about we had to get something.These are so easy to fit, a pair of scissors will easily cut off what you don't need at each end. We have a black hearth but a brown mat sitting in front of it so these blend in pretty well and i would recommend them to anyone.The padding is good and would decrease any bumps significantly, they are easily wiped and clean well obviously due to them sitting in front of a used fire they pick up plenty of dirt but a quick wipe soon sorts that out.

its quite thick foam and easy to attach to the fireplace with the double backed sticky tapes it provides. I did not use full strips of tape as was worried about the adhesive leaving any remnants. It has still stayed put using less tape. i couldn't quite get the corners and the main strips to line up neatly. This has been useful and alleviates any worry about our baby hitting his head on our fireplace edge.It is not the sleekest or most attractive of guards but it seems to be doing the job. maybe if they provided one in black that could be good.

The Cushioning looks good and it does give protection. I have found they don’t stick on very well.

Excellent, very easy to fit, comes with everything needed to install bar a pair of scissors. Very thick so I don't worry about my children injuring themselves on it even if they did fall on it. Has been on my fireplace for over 2 months and doesn't show signs of coming loose. The colour is good too, blends in well with the surround.

The media could not be loaded. Did as instructed and the stickers are stuck the hearth but the cushions have come away! I even reapplied glue stickers and they popped off again?!

Great product. I have used these on my fireplace and it is now baby-proofed. I cut them down slightly to fit the shallow depth of my fire hearth and it looks like it was part of the original design. Some of the other reviews I have read state that it comes unstuck. This is true to an extent, but if they used a stronger adhesive, there would be far more complaints that it was damaging the surfaces it was stuck to on removal (they can't please everybody). I can only suggest using an alternative adhesive yourself to suit the surface you are sticking to, if the one supplied is a problem. Also, reed the instructions before hand to avoid any issues.

Easy to install. The corner pieces fit perfectly. I highly recommend this product.

I thought these worked well- there are some parts that don't stick as well- but overall I haven't had a problem with them staying- none have come off. I was thrilled to see brown- it blends better than the old white kind. I should have ordered more- but I managed to work it out. I would recommend these. I don't think any of the products are perfect- and these worked the best. I have bought others and had more trouble with them.

Livrée en barres de mousse aisément faciles à découper, cette protection résiste très bien à la chaleur dégagée par le foyer (radiante). Seul le scotch fourni n’est pas adaptable à toutes les cheminées, la mienne étant faite de tuileaux de béton. J’ai donc opté pour visser le tout dans les tuileaux (avec rondelles pour bien tenir les barres en mousse & ne pas risquer les abîmer).Une petite mention pour la présentation du produit par son fabriquant : l’explication de montage est très claire, il y a (d’après moi) plus de scotch que nécessaire.Un produit sérieux !
