Carlos I Gran Reserva Brandy 40abv 70cl

Very nice, lots of Christmas flavours in this dram, it’s like Christmas cake in a bottle all though I must divulge I have been putting Metaxa private reserve in my Christmas cake these past few years but I have been drinking this for many many years now and the XO is even better with more concentrated flavours and since taste is a subjective subject I’ll let you discover what a dream gem of a brandy this is. I have tried countless brandy’s and none of them can get close to the uniqueness of this special Spanish brandy, it’s every bit of the word.... unique !

I was very impressed with this brandy after I took my first sip 6 days ago (having consumed an equally nice bottle of Torres). It arrived quickly and well packed at a good price. To get a similar level of quality of Cognac I suspect you would need to pay at least 50% more. Excellent supplier will use again once the bottle is nearly finished.

Delivered far in advance of anticipated delivery date...which was great. We purchased this as a gift for a friend so could not quote on the quality of the product (although we know this is one of his favourites) but, all in all, happy with purchase....just a little disappointed in the postage costs!

My favourite brandy - delighted to find a UK supplier. Shame I've given up alcohol for Lent! An Easter treat to come, better than chocolate! It has a lovely smooth taste, with vanilla tones. Best served as the Spanish do, in a warmed glass (fill with hot water, leave to stand, then drain and dry before pouring the brandy!

As I've aged my taste for good Brandy and Cognac have become extremely discerning and Carlos I ranks very high on my choice of Spanish Brandy's. Smooth and subtle, but no push over.

Ordered this item on 8th December 2014 with a caution it may not arrive until the new year.No problem,it promptly arrived on the 16th December.Never heard of it till a friend of my wife said she liked it so,her 50th birthday is near so we bought her a bottle.Nice one

We drink this on holiday in Spain and really enjoy it. Didn't think we could get it at home so looked on Amazon.The price was comparable so went ahead and ordered. It was delivered within days - fantastic!
