Philips 12961NBVB2 WhiteVision Halogen Headlamp Bulb W5W, 12 V, Set of 2

I'm very happy with these bulbs I think they are slightly brighter than the standard filament type. They produce a nice white light. Not used them too much yet- so cannot comment on the longevity. These bulbs have a blue tint on the glass, when you look at them- which concerned me when I received them. ( In NO way do them produce a blue tinge though- they are very white). I bought these in the hope that somehow It'll be similar brightness to a headlight. I'd like to stress in NO WAY can this replace a standard dipped beam light. I've recently bought quite a lotof LEDs of this type 5, 7 and 9 bulb versions- very cheap ones shipped from china. I think these are a lot better than all of them. I've used them for interior lighting. If you want a whiter, brighter legal light think is one of the best options.

It has been fitted in the car for so long and never had an issue. It is really durable and works in all weather conditions. I can definitely see through longer distance now. It appears as a strong white light with great appearance and versatility.

Far brighter than my original bulbs, however these are not as white as I was expecting, but much whiter over standard ones. Very easy to fit as they are the standard universal fitment. I cannot comment on longevity yet as I've only had them in my car for around 1 week. Decent value for money as long as they last long enough as visually they're a huge improvement, and I can see much further when driving with these fitted. Thanks.

I have a 20 year old Saab 93 convertible and had recently noticed how poor and yellow the main headlamp light beams were, therefore I recently changed them for Philips X-treme Vision 130% bulbs and WOW what a difference. However the clear white light of the headlight bulbs made the side light bulb light output look even more yellow, so I fitted a pair of these Philips WhiteVision Xenon Effect W5W bulbs and it has made a fantastic difference as both the side lights and main beam lights now give a clean and white light.

A really good brightness from these bulbs, a lot brighter than the standard sidelight bulbs. I'm not sure about MOT suitability though as in my last car I used something similar but LED and was told they were 'blue' and had to be changed. Not sure if they meant the light looked blue but the LEDs were as clear as day. Either way, these bulbs, when off, are blue make ni mistake but the light they give off is very much white so for now they stay.

Perfect for interior or number plate lights. I wouldn't recommend these as side lights, as they are not bright enough. The color does have a slight blue tint, but I would say more on the white side. I would go for the Philips w5w/T10 LED 6000K type for side lights

Used these in my Focus ST Mk2 to replace some very annoying, flickering LED sidelights. Not white white as they are still halogen bulbs but still cool enough to not make it seem like you've got candles for headlights. Cannot fault for the price and still shining. Would recommend over Halfords prices.

Bought these to replace some Osram Cool Blue Intense sidelights. I seem to get through a pair of the Osrams every year, but they are slightly whiter than normal sidelight bulbs. I drive a Mini Countryman with the bi-xenon headlights, and the Mini is programmed to have the sidelights on with the headlights. I also have the sidelights on, as daytime running lights, so the Osrams have covered approx 5000 miles. These Philips bulbs are well packaged and arrived quickly, but despite the labelling and blue coating on the bulb, they're definitely giving out more of a yellow-tinged light than the Osrams they replaced. I'll see how long they last but looks like I'm going back to Osram next time.

Not as good as described

W5Wという、日本ではあまり見ないように思える規格ですが、 要は差込型のT10という規格と同一です。 ExtremeBulbsJPという売り手から1パック144円で2パックで購入。 あまりに安いのでもしかしたら1個入りかな(それでも安い)と思いましたが、 商品画像の通り2個入りのブリスターパッケージが2つ(合計4個)届きました。 商品はイギリスから小さい段ボール箱に入って届きます。 追跡番号もしっかり調べられるもので、2週間弱で手元に届きました。 出荷伝票なども入っていてしっかりとした管理をしている会社と思います。 ただ、海外から届くものなのでタイミングによっては1ヶ月近くかかる可能性もあります。 購入の際は十分余裕を持ったスケジュールでの購入を推奨します。 タイトルに入っている製品型番は12961NBVB2ですが、 実際は後継型番と思われる12961WVUB2が届きます。 12961NBVB2がピンポイントで欲しい人は要注意。 メーカーサイトによると白さ度合いを表すケルビン数は最大3300K、 明るさは50ルーメン誤差±20%、寿命は1500時間だそうです。 ヨーロッパ製ということですが、今回手元に来たのはフランス製でした。 見た目はだいぶ濃い青色の電球という印象。 実際に装着して点灯させたところ、 印象としてはかなり白さ方向に頑張っている電球色という感じです。 ノーマル品の濃いめの電球色と比べるとだいぶ白さ方向に振ってるのがわかります。 写真も撮りましたが、 同じ電球でも条件によって白さ加減がかなり違うように撮れてしまい、 あまり参考になりませんでした。 従来型電球の画像は加工なしですが、 白めの電球の方の写真は見た目以上に真っ白に写ってしまったため 若干色温度を加工して見たときの印象に近くなるようにしています。 ヘッドライトは純正色温度(4000K程度)のHID前照灯ですが、 それと比べると電球色感が残るのは確かですが、 以前のノーマル品と比べると明らかに電球色感が軽減されています。 以前からHIDとの色の違いが気になっていたのですが 離れてみるとほぼ違和感ないい感じの白さ加減になり、満足です。 LEDではちょっと白過ぎ…とか、点かなくなるLEDめんどくせー という人にはおすすめです。 そうでなくとも標準のT10電球よりも安く買えますから 交換用の予備として2パックぐらい買って車に積んでおくと良いでしょう。

Ho sostituito da non molto i miei anabbaglianti H7 con i Racing Vision Philips, subito ho notato una lieve differenza di tonalità tra questi ultimi e le luci di posizioni (w5w philips normali). Ora ho sostituito anche le luci di posizioni con queste qui whitevision e il risultato finale è molto ma molto più omogeneo! Sinceramente ero preoccupato fossero del tutto bianche (a me non piacciono e comunque il risultato non sarebbe stato omogeneo in quanto le racing non sono bianchissime) invece il risultato finale è ottimale, nel senso che non sono per niente gialle ma sono considerabili come un bianco caldo. Nel senso che guardando la lampadina o la luce da breve distanza è effettivamente quasi bianca, mentre il fascio di luce riflettuto sugli oggetti si nota sia comunque proveniente da una luce gialla. Insomma, sono soddisfatto. E' chiaro che da una lampadina ad incandescenza non ci si possa aspettare una luce del tutto bianca, per quello dovrete optare per le w5w a led. Per la durata non saprei dire ancora, comunque penso sia comparabile ad una normale lampadina w5w. Di fatto lo è, solamente che ha il bulbo colorato di blu. Proprio per questo, ho letto in alcuni forum che potrebbe fare storie in caso di controllo e revisioni...comunque voi fategli vedere che di fatto la luce emessa è gialla, magari potete tenere in macchina la scatola per far vedere che di fatto sono omologate e certificate.
