It's tingly a bit like menthol and yes a little minty but not overwhelming in any taste exactly. The ingredients make your mouth and teeth feel clean and fresh and leaves a tingly feeling for a short while :)

Is this good to stop bleeding gums?

I think so. It certainly worked for me. It is the only toothpaste I have found that stopped my gums bleeding.
