Awesome, an very small.
*Very small*, ideal for stapling receipts together for expenses, or joining sheets of proofs into spreads.Do be aware it really won't handle as many sheets as it's (also awesome) big brother version. Fro this one, 5 sheets of 80gsm paper is the absolute limit, but it struggles a bit, I wouldn't regularly staple more than 4 sheets of 80gsm. Also if the paper is any thicker (e.g. 100gsm), you'll find 4 sheets is the max.

HANDY & ECOLOGICAL
For some years, I've owned a device which, instead of using staples, joins sheets of paper by cutting a small flange and forcing it through them. The Kokuyo is a marked improvement on my original device, requiring less pressure and cutting a sagittate flange, which does not readily become detached. The Kokuyo can accommodate three sheets of 80 g paper easily, four at a pinch. In most situations, it makes an ecologically-sound replacement for a conventional stapler; I recommend it for any home or office.

Great staple-free stapler
Initially, I wasn't going to leave a good review, as I kept getting the paper stuck in the stapler and having to tear the paper to free it. However, I now realise this was user error and I now make sure to push the paper to the back of the stapler. I have had no issues since and get a perfect punch each time. The packaging and instructions are not in English, but it is easy to figure out how to use the item. Note that there is a lengthy wait, as it is being sent from Japan, but it is worth the wait!

Very efficient and useful
Love this little gadget and so pleased to not use metal staples. Very well built and feels strong. I only need it for 2 maximum 3 sheets of paper and it is perfect. I wouldn’t expect it to do more than 5! I do wish the instructions and information was in English as well as Japanese although it doesn’t need much instruction, I do wonder what the little ‘switch’ is for on the side, can you remove blade? Is blade replaceable? All in all though very pleased with this little doodad and would buy again.

Fantastic piece of stationary
This is an excellent stapler as it is easy to use, doesn't require constant refilling and is very environmentally friendly plus economical. However, it can only staple 5 pages at a time which is fine for my use case but the larger version can only do 10 pages. In other words, this is to be used for small documents not really suitable for office applications. In terms of use, you must press down firmly and quickly in order to get a nice clean cut without tearing and the paper must be placed all way to the back of the guide. Although its binding strength is comparable to that of a standard staple as the paper will always tear before the staple comes out. Overall, this is a great product for light pieces of work and is an amazing feat of Japanese engineering.

Really useful item.
Each time I buy one, a family member comes along and likes it and takes it home.

This is brilliant, the concept works well and it is a pleasingly ergonomic design, so much smaller and lighter than my old stapler and no more metal staples to buy - that must be better for the environment.
