He mostly loves its softness but often will put the lights on to watch them. He takes it to bed with him, so its become a comforter as well. It really helps him wind down to go sleep and now he needs it every night. Nice night light for us all aswell. When the battery is running out you know as the brighter colours dont come on anymore so you know when to change it. We turn it off after he's gone to sleep. HERE IS THE SPECS OF THIS CUSHION, IT IS 12 INCH SQUARE, WHITE FAUX FUR, IT HAS A ZIP OPENING AT THE TOP WHERE INSIDE IS A SHALLOW POCKET, IN THE SHALLOW POCKET THERE IS A PLASTIC COMPARTMENT, IT TAKES 3 AA BATTERIES. YOU TURN THE PILLOW ON BY PRESSING AN EXTERNAL CLOTH BUTTON WHICH IS ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE COVER IN THE CORNER YOU ALSO TURN IT OFF BY THIS METHOD. IT DID NOT LAST VERY LONG, YOU WOULD THINK THAT 3 AA GOOD QUALITY BATTERIES WHICH I BUY WOULD MAKE THE CUSHION LAST LONGER. IT CANNOT BE WASHED.
