This silicone lubricant spray has been very useful for reducing friction and improving movement on doors, windows, rails, and other household fittings. One of my PVC doors was sticking, verging on impossible to seal or lock. Silicone lubricant was recommended and this was a good price and well-reviewed. It was easy to use, spraying in every hole I could find on my door - and within minutes the door was working like new. That was around a month ago, and I've had to reapply it again since, but since the alternative was getting an overpaid workman out, or replacing the door, I think I made the right choice!

Does what it says perfectly well. Nothing wrong with the product which seems to be similar to WD40.

This silicone lubricant is specified as suitable for use on plastics and rubbers, along with metal parts. Not all lubricants are suitable for use with plastic and rubber, using the wrong stuff can damage / melt and discolour plastic.My up and over garage door rollers were making a horrific squeak, it took a few applications to the rails and plastic wheels, but it’s now practically silent. It’s also specified suitable for use on UPVC doors and windows, which it’s really effective at.

My new house had door handles and hinges that creaked so badly they were driving me mad. This sorted it in seconds. I used it around the handles, the lock mechanism on the side of the door, and the hinges. all silent now. It has a pleasant smell, but it’s a little oily, so keep some kitchen roll handy for a quick wipe.

This is an essential for home use and has saved my ears from the sounds of squeaks and creaks. Easy to use, spray never fails and can be used on a multitude of different things. Check if you're not sure though!
