UV Black Light 365nm Rechargeable Flashlight with Filter for Pet Urine

We used this to look for Yooper Lights! Let me tell you what! These are some of the best lights for the novice rock hunter on Amazon. BE SURE to wear the UV safety glasses to protect your eyes! The light is very durable and comes with a special well designed case. It held charge wonderfully and were SO fun to use in the proper locations and back at the campground where we found more tiny ones in the rocks near the campsite! The zone to view the UV rays is focused so don't expect a larger wide angle. That focused view really ensures keep your sights set in a prescribed place too so that is helpful. These will likely go with us on many vacations to come. At home, post trip, these highlight tons of areas for improvement in cleaning. 😂🤣 It picks up everything (even the tiniest piece of lint and illuminates it for you!) I work with a lot of fabric in my free time... so imagine the stories this light tells when it illuminates that room even after a fresh vacuum. 🤪

Shortly after I purchased the product I had an issue with the batteries. I noticed they were getting low, so I turned off the device and set it aside intending to charge the batteries. It was a couple of days later before I got them into the charger and by then it was too late they apparently went dead and would no longer charge. I was prepared to return the product. But out of desperation, as this really is the best black light I've ever used, I purchased new batteries. I tried something with putting the original batteries in the charger with the new batteries in pairs, one of each to a pair, and somehow brought them back to life. Not sure I like how touchy these things are, but I am very glad to have my flash light working again. The 365nm definitely fluoresces more than the 395 does and it is absolutely worth the price/effort to get. Overall I am very happy with the flashlight itself but still a bit cautious about the whole 3.7v lithium batteries

My wife is a rock hound, as am I to a lesser extent. This flashlight has opened up a whole 'nuther world in that regard, and our grandkids LOVE to use it to view our fledgling collection of UV-reactive rocks. The 365 nm frequency is a great place to start when it comes to UV lights for hobbyists, and the black filter adds to the overall effect by cutting the visible light coming emitted by the LED's. I saw one complaint about the "cheap" charger, but I have found it serves its function just fine.

I was able to see so much with this light, that I almost didn't notice the slight burning sensation in my eyes afterwards. I am sending this back because it is better to be safe than be sorry. My eyes need a gentler light.

This is a great product and came in a nice case. I’m happy with my purchase, and it illuminates my rocks very well.

I'll start off with geeking out. 26650 battery (a big vape battery) vs 3 aaa's = 26650 winner! This is what a UV flashlight comes down to - high drain power for long duration. You can even use your old vape charger if you want. Not only that, the 365NM spectrum is way better at detecting florescence than the overall purple spotlight of a 385NM light. I've used cheaper lights that promise high florescence detection but fail in comparison to this one. Note that I've been using these to detect pet urine. This one will make cat pee glow even if the lights are on. Obviously it's better in the dark but if you're on the fence, choose this one, I'm sure it is a lot of fun at night because it casts a narrow beam that reached over 60 feet indoors. My previous experience with these lights gave me a negative opinion about handheld UV but this light has totally redeemed itself!

Used twice a week and after a month it just stopped working. Tried charging the battery but since the charger just shows four green lights when plugged in but gives no indication of if the battery is charging/charged I don't know if the issue is the battery, the charger or the light itself. Either way it isn't worth the price if it breaks after using it ten times.

Works well...I used one of these to find cool rocks and scorpions in the desert...works good for spotting black widows too...but the shocker will be when you check something you just cleaned (what you thought was spotless).
