1st class iron by Russell Hobbs
Russell Hobbs Steam Iron. This iron is amazing. No only is it nice looking its performance is amazing. The slender sleak curves that makes the iron ups its performance. Its well made great value for money. The nonstick base just glides through your items. Steam is powerful it maybe a little on the heavy side but thats needed to hivevyour clothes a great quality of ironing. The base heats really quick be careful not to touch. This iron saves you from standing ages to get your clothes ironed. Because of the weight and great quality of the base it glides through your clothes in no time. I read the reviews before I purchased this iron has a very positive feedback. I would l8ke to add to it as im very impressed and im glad I selected to buy this iron. I strongly recommend.

Fantastic Steam Iron
Had to get a new iron when our old iron decided to start spitting the water out instead of steaming! Decided on this one as it had a good number of reviews and seemed pretty well liked overall. First thing you notice about it is the weight.... It's a heavy dude! that weight seems to help with the ironing though, especially when paired with the excellent amount of steam this consistently produces. Ironing is very quick and easy, the steam powers through creases and the iron glides really nicely. The iron heats up really quickly and another bonus is the cable is a lot longer than our old iron. Overall this offers very good value for money in my opinion. Highly recommended

Nice weighty iron.
Yes it is certainly heavier than my last iron. However, I have sorted this ‘problem’ out. What I did was rest the iron face down on the item that needed ironing and then moved it back and forward. This had the dual effect of taking the weight of the iron and, amazingly, flattening out the creases! Wow! Overall this is a great iron which puts out plenty of steam. Only slight criticisms are that the handle has a surface which feels like it is wet, even though it isn’t. Also, the iron takes ages to cool down after unplugging. Great price.

One of the best iron available.
Smooth as butter. I purchased this iron recently to retire my old and trusted iron which served me for a long long time. Pros - 1. Easy to use. It just glides over the clothes making ironing easy . 2. Easy to fill water and has a decent capacity. 3. Steam output is optimal. 4. Heating is quick , so no need to wait for long time for the iron to get warm/hot. 5. Silent to operate. 6. Long cable length and sturdy cable to focus on ironing rather than adjusting the wire time and again. Cons - 1. Heavy in weight. However, the added weight do help significantly to straighten out the tough creases in clothes made from Cotton / Linen. So weight is not a big negative but do expect some additional weight if you are upgrading from a light iron.

Great product
This Russell Hobbs Steam Iron (20630) truly deserves a five-star rating. It arrived on time, which was a great start, and came well packaged and ready to use straight away. One of the first things I noticed was how lightweight it is. It’s not heavy at all, which makes ironing much easier and less tiring, even when tackling a full basket of clothes. The design is comfortable to hold and very easy to manoeuvre. The ceramic soleplate glides effortlessly over fabrics, making ironing smooth and quick. It moves so easily across clothes that it almost feels like the iron is doing the work for you, which has made a big difference to my ironing routine. Filling it with water is also simple thanks to the handy funnel design, which prevents spills and makes the process clean and stress-free. The steam performance is excellent, producing strong, consistent steam that removes creases with ease. The extra steam boost is especially useful for tougher wrinkles. Overall, it steams beautifully and leaves clothes looking crisp and fresh. The anti-limescale and self-cleaning features are a great bonus, helping maintain performance over time. This iron has genuinely changed how I feel about ironing. It has made the whole process quicker and much more enjoyable.I actually find myself not dreading it anymore. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable, easy-to-use steam iron that delivers excellent results every time. I believe It is a good value for money

Beats my Steam Generator Hands Down!
Having had 2 steam generators fail on me in the last 18 months i was determined never to spend hundreds on an iron again! This Russell Hobbs iron is superb, it's great value, heats up fast and produces an excellent amount of steam, resulting in my work shirts and trousers having crisp clean creases! The iron is fairly weighty but personally i prefer this to a lighter iron. It glides effortlessly across all fabric types and almost makes ironing a pleasure. Do yourself a favour, stop spending hundreds on rubbish steam generators - this is less than £40 and works just as well! My only niggle is that there is no cord winder place, so storing is a pain when the cord is loose. Apart from that this is a great iron!

A decent iron, but it leaks water, which is frustrating when ironing shirts.
Previously, I had the Breville Pressexpress, and whilst that was a great iron in many ways, it has always had an issue with water leaking, so I decided to buy a new iron, and after lots of research, I decided to buy the Russell Hobbs 3100w Powerstream Ultra. So with this review, I will be comparing the Powerstream Ultra against the Pressexpress, as that has very similar specs, with both having a 3100w power. So the Pressexpress is slightly larger than the Powersteam Ultra and is a similar weight. I find the Pressexpress easier to hold and it doesn't feel as heavy, as I think the weight distribution is a little better. Another area where the Pressexpress pulls ahead is the cord which is much easier to wrap around the bottom of the Pressexpress, compared to the Powersteam Ultra, which really isn't designed to have the cord wrapped around the iron. The controls are pretty even, but the Pressexpress has the power level marker at the top and is much easier to see, whilst the Powersteam Ultra places the marker at the bottom, which is not a great spot. Where the Powerstream Ultra pulls it back is the power dial is much harder to knock, with the dial being flat, whilst the Pressexpress power dial stuck up quite a bit and I was continuingly knocking it. When it comes to the baseplate, I do prefer the Pressexpress a little. The Pressexpress is slightly larger, and the end is slightly more pointy, which is better for getting into the corners, but both the Powersteam and Pressexpress felt equally as smooth when ironing. The pressexpress also has better water capacity allowing for 400ml of water, whilst the Powerstream has a capacity of 350ml. Of course, we had to get to the big failing of the Pressexpress, and that would be steam ironing. Both irons heat up very quickly, but the Pressexpress has a huge amount of steam that comes out, compared to the Powerstream. The problem is the Pressexpress is always reheating and the water will start to drip out onto clothes. The Powerstream controls its steam incredible well, and I found it much better. The Powerstream also has a 210g stream shot, whilst the Pressexpress is 200g, so the difference is slight. If you could combine the best parts of both irons, I think you would get the perfect iron, but there are a few things which stop me from giving the Powersteam Ultra 5 stars, and they would be exceedingly easy for Russell Hobbs to fix. It does sound like I am being very hard on the Powerstream ultra, and for the money it is an exceptional iron, but it could have been better.

Great iron but two downsides
This is a good iron, good and solid and certainly does the ironing justice however there are two downsides for me. First this iron comes with a long cord which is good but the cord is really thick and thus has a mind its own, it gets in the way and won't unkink more importantly and the big downside is that there is no scope for the cord to store on the iron, I've always been able to wrap the cord round the base with other irons. The combination of the length and sturdiness of the cord together with design of iron means there is no chance of you wrapping round the iron so you then need to try and contain the cord with a tie of some sort. Second issue is that the design of the iron means when I use it I often end up moving the temperature dial just by putting my hand round the handle which is a bit of a niggle and I only have small hands.

Superb iron
Superb iron, especially for the price. We had the previous iron which was good, but the new model is far better Larger water reservoir. Heavier unit, so less pressure needed. Irons wrinkles in one go, so the job is much quicker.
