great primer for those interested in learning about investing
Overall, this is a good, good book, and all novice investors should read this before embarking on personal investments beyond the obvious cash ISAs and mortgage. The sensible, sceptical approach to investing and assessing value in investment decision making should save every investor money. The great thing about the writers is that they've done this stuff 12-14 hours a day for decades and have seen it all (and lost and made plenty of money over that time). The reader benefits from their expertise and hard lessons they have learned, and since unlike IFAs, they have nothing to sell you, the advice is both smart and impartial. The basic explanations of valuation are more challenging, but for most these concepts are less important than their core messages about discipline, research and caution. Anyone considering getting into investments really should read this.

One of the best
I'm still reading this but so far it has not disappointed me. There are few books better pitched, at this level.

must buy for casual investor
so much detail was going into this book, a very good consolidation of my previous finance knowledge, as well as some very practical guidance towards investment.
