If its the mini usb, it should, if not, you may need to get the right adapter to connect to your phone.  Some of the phones come with a USB adapter.

Hi im guessing this would work with a huawei p smart phone 2018 version as my phone has a micro usb connection?

Question 3

Which usb version is this ?  usb 3.0 or usb 2.0 ?  part of the description says "hardware interface usb 2.0" and another part says "highspeed usb 3.0"

I bought it for someone, so I no longer have the item. It was however early versions of the protocol. I remember checking because of the wording used. It is solid and reasonably paced. But I think I have seen newer models out which should suit better if speed is necessary.

In regards to your inquiry, we would like to inform you that even though our drives have not been tested with the specific host device, for your convenience we researched its specifications and found that it does not support natively OTG connections. In this case in order to obtain a connection between the drive and your mobile an OTG cable or adapter will be required.
Naturally, you may confirm the results of our research with Huawei as well, before proceeding with a purchase. Additionally the Huawei you are using has a Type C connection and as a result you can use a Type C Dual drive instead.
