Surprisingly good
I was sceptical about the utility of an intercom, and very sceptical about something so inexpensive being any good, but was pleasantly surprised on both counts. My wife and I have both recently taken up motorcycling, in our 50s, and have been going out for rides together and she wanted to be able to communicate while we are out without having to keep stopping to decide where to go and what to do. It turns out to be a brilliant thing. I can tell her if she has left her indicators on, and ask her where we are going if she fails to indicate at a junction. The range is good too. We can still talk even with quite a bit of distance between us or with a lorry inbetween us. Today we got out of range and the intercoms continued to work once we got close again - no need to fiddle about re-pairing.I have tried taking phone calls and playing music, but only while in the house when I was testing the headset. As a new rider I don't really want the distractions, but its nice to know they work.Fitting was easy enough once I worked out the correct placement of the earpads. At first I had them too high and they hurt my ears. I was on the verge of thinking I should have got a larger helmet or only using one ear, and then realised that they need to be a lot lower than you might expect - right down where the strap connects. So it is worth spending a bit of time getting it right, because now I don't even know they are there. In the end neither of us needed to use the velcro fixing pads because the inside of our helmets have material that works the same way. In both cases we have managed to feed the cables through the lining in a tidy way.I have a couple of helmets: open faced for my scooter and full face (actually flip front) for the bike and had thought abut moving the system between them. Now I have it set up well on one I don't want to move it. You can get new headsets for about a tenner so if wanted intercom on the pen face I think I would get one of them rather than keep moving one between lids.We chose this model because our son already had one for phone and music, and thought it would be good to be compatible so we could all link together if we go out, but now I have seen how well it all works I would choose this again anyway.

Did the Job.
After looking at the different types of intercom I chose this one, because basically it looked more simple to use with fewer buttons etc. You have to think on, everything you do is with your gloves on and mainly while your riding. This product has a very simple toggle button on the side that is spring loaded so turn to the left or right for volume control , with a convenient alarm to tell you when you have reached maximum and minimum. 1 dab (press) of this button for your music, 2 dabs for radio and also connects with your bluetooth satnav. The button on the front is on off for the device, on off for intercom and syncing devices together and for your own device ie phone/satnav etc. (syncing of devices obviously done before riding) There is a good little guide book to explain these features and one or two others etc. But for basic use we got the gist of it on our trip to Scotland. Fitting the earphones and speakers was very simple, although it was made easier due to us having Caberg helmets that were designed for blue tooth and even had a little clip to hold the microphone stem in the correct position. The base pad that secures to the helmit is fixed by either clips or sticky pads.I found that the clips(even though they are quite strong) did not work very well on our helmets and wobbled about a bit, which I thought may become a bit of a nuisance on a journey, so I chose the sticky pad option. after a week in Scotland in surprisingly hot temperatures, these are still well bonded to our helmets, but only time will tell if they last, but there is always the clip method to fall back on ( I took them with me just in case) The sound quality on the intercom is not fantastic but you can communicate even though I was having to ask my wife to repeat even on full volume. In its defence, I do have a very loud bike and my wife has a particular accent that may have made it harder. There also seems to be a little deterioration as the batteries run low at the end of the day ( longest we we out for were about 6 or 7 hours and still working) However when it comes to a telephone call via bluetooth the sound quality is really top notch and came through loud and very clear, which made me wonder why the intercom sound wasn't as good as this. The music player was ok, but for some reason kept jumping to the next track on mine, although my wife's was ok., (may have been my phone) The radio is FM and invariably the strongest signal was Radio one, not my cup of tea.So was it worth the money? Well yes, as we are not regular riders and only do a few thousand miles per year, it did the job we wanted without the expense of either buying the Caberg sytem (or other)@ £115+ per unit or a pre-fitted new helmet @ £ 200+ each . End of the day you get what you pay for and for us this was adequate. Happy riding.

Charge does not last long!
I have recently bought this item and it works great, the sound quality is good, its easy to use and easy to install, i been using it toconnect with my iphone and use it for google maps and the problem i have been facing is after few hours of use it starts to make beeping noises ( am guessing its a noise telling me its running out of charge?) am not sure if my item is faulty or not since its meant to have 300 hours ofstandby and 10 hours or so on constant call time, i have no idea if thats normal or not and not sure how toget in touch with the seller, so if anyone knows if thats normal or its faulty and knows howi can contact the seller please let me know, i still have afew days left to return it if i have to.
