Newstar NOTEBOOK-D100 Desk Mount (clamp) for Laptop, Height Adjustable - Black

In my experience, this is a solidly engineered product that does the job admirably. Be aware, however, that, despite the descriptions that say 'silver' the product is likely to be black - as shown in the pictures, and in the manufacturer's (NewStar) information. I even checked with my supplier (Crescent) before ordering and they said their supplier had confirmed silver. That was, as I have now pointed out to them, incorrect. The components are actually the same as for three black monitor stands I've bought from Cable Mountain (brilliant product from a great supplier) - even down to the high-quality Allen key that comes with it. I'm guessing that NewStar and Cagble Mountain source from the same manufacturer, or something similar. Anyway, it's great kit and seriously well-engineered. Nice one.

This a well-made, sturdy laptop support that will seriously help bad posture at the desk in my studio. Easy to assemble and well finished I would recommend this product, with one significant BUT; the platform itself does not sit horizontally, leaning by about 15 degrees to the left. This is annoying as everything else about the product is good. I noticed before purchasing that someone else had posted a similar complaint but decided it was probably just a one-off. Obviously not. I checked all the other components to make sure they are level (both horizontals and verticals) and the problem seems to be in the final section of the arm that holds the platform. I expect I can rectify it by packing underneath one side where the platform screws on to the arm, but I'll need to find new fixing screws as those supplied won't be long enough. This is a hassle and I don't expect to have to do this on an item that has cost me over £60. However, I recognise that it is cheaper than many similar items and if you don't mind your laptop being squint and you don't think that will affect your sitting posture this is not a bad product.

Exactly what I was looking for! Prefect product for docking with monitors.The mount and clamp feels genuinely solid. Holds up my 17' laptop well. Definitely recommend. Only down side from making this a 5 star is the price. But hey! you get what you pay for.
