Tachikawa Comic Pen Nib Holder for Various Pen Nib, Model 25 (T-25)

For such a simple piece of kit, the nib holder is really lovely, wonderfully lightweight without feeling flimsy, & beautiful to hold. I really liked the shorter length of the holder, it’s really comfortable to write & draw with, & the nibs I purchased separately, fit it perfectly, & feel really secure. I’m delighted with my purchase, it was worth every penny!

The packaging box was very large. Probably about 15x15x7cm, roughly. Not that it bothered me, in fact it was a nice surprise. Especially since opening it revealed how much the retailer wanted to keep the product unharmed. I could appreciate the effort of the seller to ensure the product's safe arrival. Now the product, it's my first nib pen for illustrations so I've nothing to compare it to. But I must be quite honest, I think this pen will stay with me forever. It's very light in weight, pleasant to the eye as well as touch. Its made of wood so naturally you have to adjust to the non rubber base some modern pens and pencils provide, especially if you tend to put a lot of pressure on the stationary. I can't say much more about this product. It's a very basic buy, but brilliant manufacturing, superb service, and sincere purpose towards ensuring a pleasant buy makes this product one of the better buys on Amazon.

Arrived super-quickly. This is the first Tachiwa holder I’ve had that is sanded and finished properly — the last two I bought (the type with the rubber grip) had — admittedly cosmetic — flaws. I think they’ve improved them. I was using the hunt type for a while but when I used the zebra Maru/mapping nibs I had to use the skinnier holder and didn’t like it as much. These Tachiwa holders take both mapping and standard style nibs so you get the same size and grip. Works perfectly.

This item arrived directly from Japan with a very low total cost - I was amazed! Good quality and works with plain calligraphy nibs which one dips in the ink.

Slightly different compared to the previous model of T-25 released a few years back, but works great nonetheless. I use it in conjunction with a Zebra G nib for illustrating manga and it works wonders even for long sessions.

Lovely nib holder - no metal parts to rust and holds the nibs nice and securely.

I struggled with regular length pen holders and the shorter length seems to work better for me. Works with all of the nibs I have and arrived early to boot. Would recommend item and seller. Many thanks.

This dip pen handle fits my nibs and the handling is just perfect! It’s kinda light so gotta be careful.

I’m never going back to the metal fit nib holders! The rubber is so much nicer to get a nib into AND out of. So pleased!! This nib holder has done great with almost every type of nib I’ve got. Speedball C’s and B’s, Hunt Imperial, Hunt 107, Brause Arrow, Blue Pumpkin, G nibs, etc etc. One nib holder to rule them all! My Hunt mapping nib is a tiny loose, but still useable; of course my Tachikawa brand one fits snugly. The only brand that does not fit at all are my Leonardt Round calligraphy nibs. (The Leonardt EF Principal does work.) Mitchell nibs fit great though. However, since this is mainly a drawing, not a calligraphy, nib holder, I’m not too fussed about this. It is a shorter holder, which I greatly prefer. The wood feels nice. The grip section is a bit thicker than most holders you find at the craft store, which is easier on the hand. I used it for hours to test it, and had no hand strain or fatigue. It IS shorter than either the Tachikawa T-40 or T-36. This nib holder is just shy of 5” long. If you’ve got big hands or prefer a little more length, try one of the others, which have the same style of rubber nib holder. Overall, I think it’s a great first nib holder, and a great option for paring down an excessive nib holder collection. And you can’t beat the price. 10/10 would recommend!
