A bit heavy going, and lacks a good contents and index
I got this book after reading that Adam Smith's philosophy is frequently misunderstood, and coerced into supporting modern political views which he did not propose. Reading this book confirms that. Though I find much of interest and contemporary relevance in Smith's writing, I struggled a bit with the structure of the book, which is a collection of fairly long essays, without a table of contents or index. My friend, who has a much older copy of Wealth of Nations, tells me that his copy is like that, so I don't think there is much wrong with the edition I bought. The 18th century prose is a bit chewy, too.

Excellent book but no content pages
The content and print quality is as high quality as you would expect, but there are no content pages. Over 500 pages, split between 6 sections (books) and there's not content pages to tell you where anything is. Trying to look back over certain topics or issues in near impossible as you have no indication in the book of where they are located. I can understand the lack of an index due to the sheer wealth of material, but even a simple breadown as to where each of the books are located would be helpful.

Very long
This man is an economist whom I can understand! He doesn;t use long unnecessary words to impress and he knows what is ging on in the market place as opposed to his ivory tower. But - and a huge but here - it isn't for the likes of me. A book best kept, I think, as bedside reading, a bit at a time.

Good content. Very bad print quality
Content of the book is very good. The print is poor. It looks like amazon have literally scanned the original pages onto bigger pages. However for the price I can’t really complain but did expect a better quality book.

Product poorly, misleadingly described
I spent over half an hour trying to zero in on one out of the multitude offerings for the title Wealth of Nations, but all my efforts proved to be nightmarish and fruitless, because Amazon, either out of carelessness or studiedly, has omitted to give the volume description for most of the listings for the title, giving the volume description, that too confusingly, in two instances of the listings, i.e. Book I-III, Book IV-VI. Consequently, it seemed tricky deciding whether each of those predominant number of listings that have not been identified by their volume descriptions actually represents the complete and unabridged text of Wealth of Nations as it was originally issued.

Arrived in good condition, but a bit longer and more dry than I anticipated. Yet a real classic.
