I bought this specifically because there are times I need a dual monitor setup. I've previously used such a setup with my Windows machine, but wanted to do the same with my iMac. This cable has enabled me to add an extra, external monitor to my iMac so I now have the dual monitor setup (useful for presenting webinars). The only thing I have to remember to do, which is to do with my monitor, is to choose the active input port on the monitor. The monitor has multiple input ports so I have my Windows machine plugged into one and the iMac into another. That means I can switch from using my iMac to using my Windows machine just by choosing the input on the external display. The image quality output by the iMac doesn't seem any different to the output from the Windows machine, but as this is an older monitor it's not as good as the hi-res screen of the iMac! That's to do with the monitor, obviously. The cable is a nice length since the external monitor is next to the iMac and the connections click into place securely, especially on the iMac. I can't tell how durable this is since I've only just got it, but I'm not going to be plugging and unplugging it all the time so I would expect it to last. The price was extremely good. There are others that look the same and probably perform no differently, that cost a great deal more. For the very small price I paid for this cable I've managed to make more use of my iMac whenever I want an extra display and when I don't it doesn't take up any extra space. Very useful and the fact I can have my Windows machine connected and switched on, using it just by changing the input port on the monitor, is a big bonus. There are some applications that are Windows only so I need to switch between the Mac and the PC a few times a week. With this cable I can have - so to speak - my cake and eat it. Very pleased with this purchase.

I knew I would be in a position where I needed to attach my Macbook to a television, and having been a long term Windows machine user I had come to take for granted the HDMI ports that are present on almost all laptops, with my Macbook this is not the case, I quickly looked on Amazon and found this product, the reviews seemed good so I thought, for the price, what did I have to lose? The item arrived next day in a small heat seal bag, the connectors ok either end are gold plated and covered with little plastic dust covers, which are handy when you through the cable in a bag for a trip. The 1.8 m length is fine for most applications but definitely check if you're using this for a permanent scenario. The MacBook realised there was an external monitor connected and was able to identify the brand of monitor and optimal resolution and gave me the options for adjustment. Overall the product was excellent value for money and I will be using it for many years to come I hope. One quick thing to note, the connector on the HDMI side is very large, so if you need to connect into a small area, be wary.

For the price the build quality is reasonable, performance wise I have had no issues with the cable. Has worked flawlessly so far, I have had issues with other cables in the past dropping signal but this cable hasn't suffered the same issue. Dropped a star due to the strain relief being on the weak side and I question how the cable will hold up over time if it gets moved often.

I had a previous mini display port to HDMI cable I had bought from apple directly for £15 about 5 years ago for my mac to tv. It had since fallen apart and had numerous issues, so I sought a replacement. I found this for a fraction of the price, so wasn't sure what quality would be like. Very happy, with the quality, well made, nice design and packaging. HDMI end of the cable is quite long in comparison to other HDMI cables, so could be an issue for those with a wall mounted tv depending on how it is setup, but I have no issues with my wall mounted tv. Works with my windows tablet and macbook. would recommend to anyone, good value with price and seller: JETECH had fast dispatch and delivery and nice packaging. Would buy from them again.

Working from home using the single screen of my Surface Pro was a nightmare, so I bought this cable to connect it to my office monitor. Initially, I was unsure whether to purchase this or one of the giant hubs, which attach to the side of the SP, I'm so glad I went with this. It's a simple case of attaching this to the SP, then to the monitor and you get a crystal clear display with the colour, clarity, and vibrancy exactly the same as that of the SP. Now, I'm working with two screens, and it's so much better than just the one. The cable is weighty, and the connectors look good quality, though I'm no expert. A shorter length would be better as while it's 1.8m the distance from mini-DP to HDMI is about 10cm, but the excess is easily tucked away behind the SP. I would 100% recommend this for any SP users; it's the simplest and best option to get hooked up to a second monitor.

Works fine - but using this with two computers connected to one external screen (desktop + laptop) you may have to restart one or both computers to make it work. On a Laptop - to change form one screen to another use the menu on the external display itself - or right click on Start then select control panel - select display - and then select the drop down menu to select which screen you wish to use - click on Apply and then OK. On some computer's this can be done pressing the Fn + F5 keys together. If using the cable from time to time on a Laptop - keep the original packing - to keep it in when not in use - because the small display out plug is easily damaged. Better still keep the end caps and put them back on when not in use.

Product arrived quickly and performs as billed. Can't assess durability as only just purchased but it is not going to get moved around much so I'm not anticipating problems. The issue is in the packaging; it's very heavy on plastic with no discernible need. The out cardboard carton is fine but is colour printed on white stock; is this necessary on an e-product. It is will never be displayed in a retail setting. Inside is a plastic vacuum formed tray which could easily be swapped out for card without risk to the product. Then there is plastic film wrap on the connectors to protect against scratches and hard plastic caps on the connector ends. Technically I can see why the later might be needed but certainly not the VFT tray and the end caps. Please get more creative to make your packaging more resource efficient.

I was in a tight spot on holiday when iTunes wouldn't allow me to play a movie on my iPad directly connected to a TV (Lighting to HDMI), so ordered this so I could connect my MacBook Pro to the TV instead. Worked a treat, and streaming audio into the HDMI also was an unexpected bonus! So given that Apple were attempting to force me to spend £90 on an Apple TV to stream my movie I not only saved that cash but undercut their Mini DP to HDMI adapter by £40. This cable is an absolute bargain!
