Raleigh - TRT701 - 700c Bicycle Wheel Puncture Resistant Rim Tape in Red

I liked the ease in which this covered the spoke ends. It went on quickly and easily and should last for years, probably longer than the rest of the bicycle.

This rim liner is a good quality product, it fits well and is thick, strong, durable and exactly what you expect from a Raleigh product.

Never bought this or anything like it before so did not know what I was getting, although I though I knew what I needed. Anyhow, it fits my 700c wheels as described and so I suppose it does what it says it does. They are very reasonably priced, arrived in time and no prob lems with the service. Only four stars because I did not know what to expect, but I am now more informed.

For no reason atall (other than a large Raleigh foot-pump) I've started destroying tubes by over-pumping them. Only about 4 bar or so when the tyre claims to be good for 5 bar. The tubes have taken to popping out next to the valve, presumably not supported adequately by the regular rubber rim tape.I've used two of these rim tapes on the family bicycles so far and am buying more. They're starting to look like a must-have, put them in with every puncture and new tyre.Unless the real problem is cheaper, nastier tubes and rim-tapes in new bicycles. Ho-hum.

Seems harder than previous stuff which had gone down spoke holes and deformed inner tube over time.
