I accidentally purchased these brushes despite having the 'Cat Mate' fountain but have also found them useful for multiple other things in the house. The small brush is great for cleaning around the mouthpieces of reusable straws such as you might have in sports bottles. The middle brush is ideal for cleaning the hollow tube which connects to the pump of the Cat Mate fountain. I didn't realise how grotty this tube was getting. The brush cleaned out the grot with just a few strokes, and I now run it down the tube every time I clean to prevent any more forming. The Cat Mate was as good as new after using this. The larger brush is perfect for cleaning tall glasses and sports bottles. The sponge at the bottom cleans around the edges and the brush the sides!

We found that our cat drinks a lot more water now they have the petsafe drinking fountain. Theory goes that this will reduce kidney and liver problems later in life, although we were too late for the old cat (who lived past 20, but in the last year or so had taken to drinking from the garden pond because it didn't smell of chlorine and fluorine, and twice she fell in, which is very dangerous for such an old cat). So we need to keep all the pipes and tubes and inner corners of the drinking fountain clean, and it's a real bother without these excellent brushes (I did it for a year before I ponied up the money for the brushes). They fit every difficult to reach place except a couple of inside corners. So there are some design faults with the fountain, but the brushes do their job. Before you think they come in assorted colours, ours were exactly the same as the picture. Blue rubbery bits, white the rest.

Although advertised for using with the PetMate water filter, the biggest brush is a bit redundant for that purpose. It is used though on other items so is not wasted. The two smaller brushes are great for cleaning the pet water filter nooks & crannies. For cleaning, I wash in hot soapy water then leave in a sterilising solution for a while before rinsing and leaving to dry for the next use. The quality is excellent and they would be ideal for general household use too.

I bought these brushes even though I actually have the Cat Mate (Pet Mate) fountain. I have been scrabbling around trying to get in the nooks, crannies and tubes of the fountain since I had it, trying everything from pipe cleaners, to electric toothbrush heads to cocktail sticks, and still, I could never get it clean! These brushes are just great!! They are a set of three - the biggest one is well, huge! But it's good for cleaning the main bowl area. The middle size one is brilliant for getting into the tube and giving it a thorough cleaning, and the smallest one is fab for getting into the corners and those adore mentioned nooks and crannies! My Cat Mate is now flowing beautifully again now the water can get through properly! Can't recommend these brushes highly enough to anybody with a cat fountain!

I found it was bigger than I thought it would be bt the dog loves it. Its easy to clean, I bought the brushes along with the drinkwell which are handy however, I don't think these are necessary. It is dishwasher safe but its so easy I just do it myself. So convenient no longer worry about the dog running out of water and not noticing it. There were problems with delivery but this was down to the postman not the seller, seems had the postman informed me of attempted delivery everything would have been as promised. When I contacted the seller re missing item they responded within hours to advise item at post office.

Had been using a toothbrush and cloths (not very successfully) for cleaning water fountain, as the brush set seemed expensive Finally I gave in and bought a set as nothing was small enough to clean the pump thoroughly (it stops working if it becomes even slightly clogged with debris) What an absolute game changer the smallest brush is! It gets into all the nooks and crannies and the holes in the pump, including where the propeller sits. Enables thorough cleaning, much quicker and the pump (more than a year old now) works first time, every time now. Well worth the money for that alone. However, the other two brushes seem a bit surplus to requirements, The handle on the big one cracked as soon as I took it out the packaging, still usable but impossible to use the sponges on the end properly as a plastic knob prevents the sponge from making contact with the bowl etc. The middle sized brush is perfect for cleaning the water outlet hole, but not much else. I am glad I bought it and wish I’d got it a lot sooner (would have saved hours of frustration!) but for the smallest brush alone.

We have had a water fountain for several months and it has always been a problem to clean - specifically the tube that feeds the water from the pump to the top of the fountain. This kit includes a long cleaning tool that is designed to clean this tube! The large brush works for the rest of the fountain but im not sure what your supposed to do with the little brush as its quite flexible and bends if much pressure is applied when cleaning. For 3 brushes its expensive but I havent seen a brush anywhere else that was able to clean the feed tube.

My Vet recommended this because my elderly cat has kidney disease and we need to make sure she drinks lots and lots . At first she completely ignored it but over time began to use it and now she loves drinking from it. Because anything she likes my other cat HAS to try he too drinks mainly from the water fountain. I think if you’ve got cats who haven’t grown up drinking from a water fountain then make sure you give plenty of time before giving up on it. It’s worth it.

I found it that I can use all the three brushes not only to perfectly clean the Cat Water Fountain they can be used in many more cleaning chores. I definitely recommend them.
