Really works with tennis elbow!!!
I recently bought a concert quality classical guitar and have been really getting back into learning (and re-learning!) music I used to play years ago. I have been asked to take part in a concert later this month so had to really get practising, and, of course, developed tennis elbow! My GP admitted that all he could do was offer me anti inflammatories, and advise me to stop playing for some time, neither of which was a viable option. I researched online and discovered a couple of guitar forums where people were recommending the Thera band flexbar as having helped. I thought I'd give it a try and have to say I'm amazed at how much it has helped me! The pain is almost completely gone and I am able to keep up the level of practice with the guitar, with no problems. I thoroughly recommend this as a successful way to treat tennis elbow - its been a Godsend for me!

Tennis elbow - At last! Progress!
Ive been using this for 2 months and whilst there is still 2-3 months to go, this thing has worked miracles in getting my tennis elbow to a place where I can actually push it. I have suffered with tennis elbow/tendinitis for 5 years. For so long I have been in a vicious circle of rest, ice, exercise and then injuring it again but this has honestly been so gentle yet impactful I have been able to get back to doing some of the things I love.Important: Only use when inflammation is minimal, do the rest part first. Combine it with a good diet and plenty of protein and vitamin c to get those tendons healing and growing again.

An all round good tool for the healing and prevention of tendinitis in the wrist and elbow.
The method that I received the best results from is as follows: place the Thera-Band on a hard surface then roll the forearm and wrist back and forth, applying pressure when trigger points are detected along the forearm tendon. Once both arms have been deeply massaged, I then perform the Tyler Twist movement. The best results have been achieved by setting my timer for 5 minutes and holding each twist for 30 seconds, therefore completing only 10 repetitions in total. My pass times include weight lifting and martial arts, so I am able to deliver a fair twist and grip compression. The blue heavy version arrived a few days ago and I have found that using a combination of both the red and blue Thera-Bands works best. The red allows for a bigger twist and stretch, whereas the blue requires more grip compression.Other advice I will offer is for body builders to return-to or maintain forearm movements such as wrist curls/ reverse wrist curls and office workers to take regular breaks from the keyboard and stretch hands, fingers and wrists. My elbow tendinitis has all most cleared after 7 days of applying all of the techniques discussed, on a daily basis. In terms of marks out of 5 for the Thera-Band – 4 because out of the dozen or more exercises you can perform, only the Tyler Twist is demonstrated in the instruction guide!

Bought for tennis elbow
A friend recommended this to help treat tennis elbow. Haven't been as disciplined at using it as regularly as hoped, but I think the resistance level might be too low. The book that comes with it is only in German, which doesn't matter as I can speak German, but not particularly helpful for those that don't.

Tennis Elbow is really Annoying!
This is a great product for tennis / golfers elbow. Few things to note. Although they're not cheap be careful of buying the correct one. I bought the green one to start with and new immediately that it was too strong for me. So I ended up starting with the red one. Even with the red one I had to work my way up from 2 sets of 5 reps over time - so should probably started with the weaker one. Second thing to note, this hurts and still does after several months but the strength is really starting to come back into my right arm and I can certainly do a lot more. The pain and swelling around the elbow has also almost gone. My experience is that there are no quick wins for this type of injury. Thirdly, rest your injured arm as much as possible. If you have to do stuff then use a support which helps alleviate the strain on your arm. I've basically avoided surfing during the winter (which is killing me) as the pain of getting in and out of a winter wetsuit was horrendous on my tennis elbow. Back cycling now but always use a support. Lastly if you can continue to go and see a physiotherapist / osteopath every now and then I would. Anyway, good luck with this as it's a very frustrating injury.

Great piece of kit
Really an essential if you need to strengthen forearms, relieve wrist strain or tendinitis to do the bigger exercises such as pull ups on a bar. Began to feel the difference within a fortnight. A little on the expensive side for what it is but very much worth the investment if you take your exercise seriously.

Don't be skeptical, the reviews for this product really are true!
I will start this review by saying that I suffered from severe medial epicondylitis (golfer's elbow). It was so bad that absolutely ALL bicep exercises were a complete no-go for me unless I wanted my arms to stiffen up with pain the next day; straightening my arms was extremely difficult. Bicep curls of anything but the lightest weight were simply unmanageable, which I'm sure you can imagine severely hampered my workouts.Having finally had enough, I was tempted to take a trip to the NHS to see what they could do for me, but I'm not much of a fan of the doctor's so thought I'd try other options first. Like me, you've probably found many recommendations for this product but are a bit skeptical about this simplistic solution. However, I have to say this product has completely cured me of all issues to the point where I can do regular bicep curls again, with a heavier weight. My confidence in my inner and outer elbows is through the roof with the right exercises (a simple youtube search will show you how to use this for either golfer's or tennis elbow) and it is a firm part of my workout regime between sets. Whenever I feel even a bit of tightness beginning to form, I do a couple of exercises with this band and I am instantly cured enough to carry on with the workout.I'd strongly recommend anyone with elbow difficults to try this before going to your GP. If your problems continue, then pop in and see them.
