This was really helpful ahead of our holiday to ensure our cases complied with the airline’s weight allowance. Really easy to use. It weighs accurately- I checked by weighing a 1kg bag of sugar! Very lightweight, so easy to transport in luggage to use again ahead of return flight. I’m happy with the quality of this item and it was good value.

great compact scales. just the job

I checked out many potential scales before opting for this one. It’s been well made and nicely designed. It’s simple to use too! Out of the box you just have to slide back the battery cover and remove the plastic tab beneath the button battery - refit the cover and it’s ready to operate. I like that all the components are sturdy - especially the braided strap and the robust metal fittings. This scale takes a maximum weight of 50kg, which is more than enough for most travel luggage you’re likely to use on your holidays etc. I do like that if you accidentally turn it on it has an automatic power cut-off after 60 seconds. I also like the CLEAR green LED display. This is a very useful ‘value for money’ accessory - to use before and during your next holiday adventures, Highly recommended.

A very light compact device with a display (green) far brighter than you'd give the small "coin" battery credit for. Very clear and easy to read.Turn it on and cycle through the various units of measure while it's in its "start-up phase". Kilos is what the airport uses so I stuck to that (that's the default).First I weighed a large picture in a cardboard sandwich. 2.21 Kg. Impressed - my bathroom scales ignore anything under 20 Kg. Well - they see it then it resets to zero as if "you must be joking nobody weighs that little". My total flight allowance is 20Kg so the suitcase needs to be < 18Kg...Suitcase 19.95Kg. Ok so I need to take stuff out. It really helps you whittle away and think about "what is essential, what can I buy there instead, what can I put in my hand luggage instead".If I'd not had these accurate scales I'd have taken 22Kg to the airport and I would have been charged £67 to upgrade from 20 to 23Kg! £67!! This thing has paid for itself already.With the display on the top it's really easy to see when lifting a heavy-ish suitcase with two hands. Some other brands have the display on the side and you'd need to squat or contort to see it.Wish I'd bought one of these years ago! No more getting on bathroom scales to weigh myself, get off, get back on carrying the suitcase, subtract that weight from my weight to figure out the suitcase weight. Too much hassle.For something that has only one simple purpose in life it, does it very well.
