Excellent for charging or syncing at a longer distance
The cable appearance is very much like the original Apple supplied one but of course is much longer. At 3m it is almost 3 times longer which is great for charging or syncing further away from either the mains charger or PC.I have used it with an iPad2 and iPhone4 and both are OK.However the design of the 30-pin dock connector is not quite identical to the original Apple one as the metal part of the connector housing the pins has slightly different retaining lugs. In practice this makes the plug have a somewhat tighter fit in the iPad or iPhone.Unlike some other 3rd party cable alternatives, the build quality seems to be as robust as the Apple original.Overall, I am happy with my purchase.

Does not charge iPad
Delivery was prompt (less than a week from order), however this cable will NOT charge the iPad, in fact the packaging that it arrived in only claims it to be a sync cable. The seller did apologise and agreed to take the cable back and refund my money, but the returns process took about 3 weeks from delivery to refund, time and hassle I could have avoided had the listing been accurate.That being said, the cable seemed to be reasonably well made and would probably work ok with iPods and iPhones.

Handy length.
Lasted a bit longer than the cheap cables but not nearly as long as original.Extra length very useful though for charging while using.

Useful cable
This cable is long! I bought it for my wife to use her ipod touch without having to stand right next to the plug socket with the original usb cable. The reason for not giving five stars is that the quality is not the best and so you can expect lots of tangles. Overall if you need a long cable for your iWhatever then this is a good choice.

Essential for iPad users
How did I survive without this cable? What freedom it brings!! No more time out whilst waiting for a recharge. Now I can sit away from power and still be connected. Perfect for movie watching!!
