Good for Beginners
I've been wanting to create a little indoor herb garden for a while now so was super excited to get this. The box is a lot smaller than I thought but it comes with everything you need. There's a little guide inside that explains each herb and how to look after it. It may be useful to look online if you want to know how often to plant each herb. I only planted Basil and Rocket for now as I want to see how these little beauties fare before I plant more. It was really simple, the only thing I would say is when it instructs you to put the peat discs into a bowl of water, I would make sure the water is warm. I initially tried with cold and nothing happened, but when I added some warm water from the kettle they started expanding. This is a great pack for beginners, I hope I don't fail these herbs and they grow because next I'd like to try my hand at the Plant Theater Chilli's Pack!

Add water instructions for those new to gardening
There are no instructions on how much water to add. For someone who doesn't have a clue about gardening this was not very helpful. The first mix was too watery so I used another peat and this time added the correct amount. I have not tried to plant a seed yet as I needed the soil for another plant.

It's a nice novelty gift idea
It's a nice novelty gift idea, but the same if not better result can be obtained and way cheaper. The small peat "cakes" provided are definitely infected with some kind of mold, since 2/6 of the vases developed a thin white mold layer after two weeks, this can be easily solved by spraying the dirt with a 10% hydrogen peroxide/water solution and then peeling the top layer. The seeds quality is alright and almost all of them will germinate if kept in good light/watering/warmth conditions.I would suggest to directly buy the seeds-compost and getting a cheap propagator for germination, then put the small plants in a larger pot/vase after the 2nd-3rd layer of leaves grows; it would be cheaper and safer (no mold) than buying a kit.

A Green Fingered Gift Box
Bought this as a gift for a friend. First thing to note is that the package is well presented and it's clear what it is when opening (and as it's a nice square box it's also easy to wrap!).But the more important question is, Can you actually grow the herbs or is it just a novelty item? Well, I'm pleased to report that the recipient of this gift did indeed get a full crop of herbs from all the seeds that were included. I've got no idea how (not being the green fingered type myself), but I do know she was happy to report success with her mini herb garden. So in summary, a nicely presented stocking filler that's actually useful... In my experience that's pretty rare! :)

Perfect gift for yourself or a loved one.
I bought this as a gift for my Mum & it's perfect. It can be planted indoors or outdoors, whichever you prefer. It comes with everything you need to start it off. The only thing you need is a pot or garden & soil to transfer it to when it's too big for the small pots provided. Full instructions are provided, so it's easy to use & enjoy. I would definitely order this or other kits in the series for myself & gifts for others. And it's definitely good value for money.

Great kit! I love the packaging and what's inside
Great kit! I love the packaging and what's inside. I got plants within 2 weeks, and after about 6 weeks I could consume them. The salad is a little weird, never saw something like it before, but it tastes good. The basil is huuuge, same for parsley and coriander. The chives never germinated and the thyme is still small. Overall, I am happy with the product and would recommend.
