Pillar 600633, 16 Inch Laptop Backpack, Triple Protect Compartment with Case-Stabilizing Platform, 25 Litre Capacity, Work, School, Travel, Commuting, Black/Grey 25 x 38 x 48 cm

Have been using this bag regularly since mid-2012 now (almost 6 years), and apart from a one of the straps' padding going awry (from using it single-shouldered for a few years) and the threading beginning to undo (which I can easily fix as nothing has ripped, it's literally just from the single-shoulder usage) everything is practically in the same condition in which it arrived 6 years ago. Picture is attached of literally the only wear-and-tear I have from the past 6 years. All that's needed here is to undo the sewing, flatten the padding (or replace) and then re-sew it together and it's good as new. Past 3-4 years have been using it as a workplace backpack, and carrying work laptop around (so have switched to double-shoulder) and there has been no change in condition. Laptop has been well protected against all sorts of items put inside the main compartment (chargers, books, pens, food shopping - if it fits it's been in there!). There is padding in the back to keep you warm and cushioned, pockets for everything, and there's a compartment for your laptop (Velcro secure strap) as shown in the picture - however there's also a little extra flat padding (not cardboard, it's like a cushion but very firm) on the bottom of the bag so that it doesn't compress too much when there's not much inside it (so it keeps it's shape whether or not you have items inside - unless deliberately flattened). Side pockets (the net ones) have plenty of space - regularly putting earphones, coke cans, or even the occasional 2L bottle of drink in there and it all fits nicely without even coming close to falling out (unless you start jumping around, but then it's unreasonable to expect any stability right?). I have re-added it to my shopping list in case I ever need to buy a new one because it's pretty damn good (or if there's a super discount and I'll get it ahead of time!).

The backpack is well made. Strong and sturdy. I can fit everything I need for work comfortably inside it.

Great quality backpack. Plenty of storage compartments, comfortable to wear and made from good quality materials. Bought a similar one 11 years ago which needed replacing. Easy choice to buy this brand again. Excellent value for the price!

So far so good - I have noticed some reviews commenting on the quality of the stitching and material but I have not experienced any problems after a couple of months and the bag feels very robust and solid. The separate compartments are good for organising my stuff - I don't carry a large laptop in there so can't comment on that, but I have been using Wenger bags for a while and find them pretty solid and versatile overall, with good features such as secret compartments, an extra carry handle at the top, and padded straps. My only complaint with this model is that the zips on the front pockets only go in one direction. I'm fussy like that!

Having bought 3 of these bags I can say that they are great. Mine have taken a beating with a fair amount of weight being carried. A couple have had straps tear on the front of the shoulder, but easily fixed with a bit of sewing. I have carried a lot in theses bags nearly everyday and they are comfy. Laptops, drinks, food and work, all fit well and with all the little pockets you can orgaise it well.

A qualidade é boa, mas eu devolvi. Para mim ficou um pouco grotesca, queria algo sofisticado, fino e que tivesse vários bolsos, peguei outra mochila da mesma marca e mais chique. Essa é muito masculina. Mas é bonita e forte.

Je l'ai acheté pour mon fils comme sac d'école pour aller au collèges. J'en avait assez de ces articles qui lâchaient au bout de 3 mois, coutures ou fermeture éclairs arrachées, les livres et cahiers tous écornés. Ce sac et très résistant, il a traversé la moitié d'une année de collèges : cars, cours d'écoles et autres coups de pieds. On dirait qu'il est neuf. Les livres ont cessé de se dégradés. Mon fils l'adore, il le trouve beau, pratique et confortable à porter avec ces bretelles et sont dos rembourré, plus de coin de classeur dans les reins. Des que mon deuxième entre au collèges je ne chercherai pas plus loin.

Good backpack, but can only fit on handle of carryon size port, not larger size. Would fit if I used a bungee strap to hold it on.
