Yes, they are very soft and lint free

Can these be used with leather preserver?

I used them to apply mink oil to my Redwing boots, all good.

what are they made of? Cotton or sythentic material?

Cotton would highly recommend them

Can the cloth be used to clean phone screens

I haven't tried it, but as I believe they are made of cotton I can't foresee any problems. Don't use paper products as they may scratch, being made from timber. Spectacle cleaning cloths, which I think are polyester would probably be safe and do a good job, as they are non-abrasive.
