Why is the wax so hard, can’t use on the tools as the wax just rolls around with it?? Can’t even put my finger over it till I feel it’s softening up,

The wax is not supposed to cling to the tools. It is supposed to just lightly adhere to the tools when you run the tool over the wax. If you have too much wax it would mark the parchment. Kept at room temperature it will last forever. I hope this answers your problem.
