It can also be used to help maintain a normal bowel function among those suffering from hemorrhoids. Ingredients Each single dose sachet of granules contains 3.5g Ispaghula Husk B.P. in an Orange Flavoured base containing Aspartame (E951) and Saccharin Sodium Sweeteners, Potassium Bicarbonate, Sodium Bicarbonate, Polysorbate 80, Silica Colloidal Anhydrous, Citric Acid and Beta-Carotene and Riboflavine Sodium Phosphate Colouring. Directions Adults and children over 12: one sachet of fybogel hi-fibre orange in the morningand one in the evening. Children 6-12: 1/2 - 1 level 5ml spoonful, morning and evening, depending on age and size. Safety Warning Do not take Fybogel Hi-Fibre Orange without water. I have used Sennacot. But they don't work for me. I take these twice a day after a meal. They can work great most of the time. During the pandemic, they tripled in price. There are others in tablet form, and these also work okay. To maximise this laxative's abilities, drink several glasses of fluid in the day. * Update 1 September 2026 A recent medical review of my meds has advised me that these clash with a new medication. And I have been advised to go for another laxative, Laxido. I am not saying you need to change. It's advised to have these checked by a medical professional to see if you require a change?

I have followed the instructions and take 2 sachets per day for the extra fibre I need to have a bowel movement. I have been on a strict diet and lack fibre and other nutrients that help with a bowel movement. It didn’t exactly work straight away like I thought it would, but after taking it for awhile now my bowel movement has gone back to being more regular. I was actually having long periods of constipation prior to taking this supplement and my stools were harder than rocks. You can just imagine the struggle I was in. Now I can say I am winning this battle. I would definitely recommend this product if you have any symptoms like what I described. You just need to keep drinking it and eventually it will work. I usually drink it with 400ml of water just to dilute the flavour and the extra liquid will only help aid you that little bit more. The orange flavour is pleasant enough but what I do is add a little bit of orange robinsons, and that makes it taste almost like a normal orange squash drink. If you leave it in the water for too long it turns into a weird jelly texture that is kind of unpleasant.
