Best technical pen ever!

I have used these pens before and they are the very best out there. I am an illustrator and require to work with a very fine nib and this pen does the job. My only advice to anyone thinking of buying one of these Rotring Isograph pens is to also purchase a bottle of the Rotring nib cleaning fluid. I never leave my nib in the pen after use as it dries up and becomes impossible to clean or use the nib again. After use I wash the nib carefully in running water then drop the nib gently into the bottle of cleaning fluid and leave there until I need to use again and this keeps my pen in tip top condition. Hope this has been helpful.

The photo is a bit stretched. Makes item appear long and thin.

All was as I expected it to be.

They work!

I've been using Rotrings for over 40 years and for the past 3 years I've had problems with the 0.10 Isograph nib. Some haven't worked at all. Some have given up after a day or two. Some have worked for a while but needed a lot of shaking and cleaning and then have eventually died on me. Have Rotring outsourced them? The previous full pens I bought were made in India... they were the recent ones that didn't work. Now the good news. The two nibs I've just purchased arrived very quickly and thankfully work superbly. I can tell by the flow of ink and the 'feel' of the nib on the paper that they will last! I'm very grateful and when finances allow will buy a couple more.

Forty years of using these Rotring 0.3 nibs for handwriting!

And many of those nibs last for six or eight years. My method is: several hundred words per nib, then a wash in the cleaning fluid and back into service. The nib, & even the fine wire, can take it -- the challenge is my needing a very steady hand, and very good small jeweller's pliers to hold the wire just above the nib, and then to drop it absolutely straight down in.It works for me, but only because I use the nibs constantly, so each one would get cleaned and re-filled every two days. Practice doesn't actually make perfect, but as long as the wire goes straight down in at the first drop, it's great. When that step fails, it turns into messy darned nuisance! I always do the cleaning over the sink, and wear an apron; but the payoff is a perfect nib ready for use at any moment.

The best ink pens on the market for very intricate drawings ...

The best ink pens on the market for very intricate drawings but sadly the nib clogs very easily!!! Sometimes it starts working again after cleaning (you have to purchase the special cleaning liquid) but sometimes completely stops working. Shaking the pen is vital. I couldn’t find any other replacement pen so I keep buying Rotring which is not cheap...

Pen tip delivered on time

I ordered this Rotring 0.13 nib because it was sensibly priced for a drawing instrument that has become a rather old fashioned method of drawing. It has been added to my stock and will be pressed into use when the existing 0.13 pen tip wears out.

Shake it!

Perfect pen for art, but you have to remember that when replacing the nib or using after some time you will have to shake for ages until the ink flows.

A little bit of a tip

Alright people, let's try a bit o honesty. These pens are very fine; and that means like a good camera or tool, they require an amount of care. I can attest to having been lacking as such. I either was too involved in the work; or I was too, sporadically using the pens. Personally, I find these pens to be the best, unless, you go to markers. AND yes, markers have become phenomenal- some being reusable like, COPICS. In any case, all versions of technical pens are FINE instruments -- especially the finer widths, which are any "0" or finer points. They will slightly jam or clog unless you are as persnickety about care as you are about using them. As I admit, I am a case in point. I therefore I recommend confidently the following process. Go to your local drugstore, and buy a disposable electric toothbrush. They run on a triple A battery which you WON'T have to install, and I've known of more than one manufacturer. When you're having a pen problem, disassemble the pen ONLY as far as you would be able to rinse it -- and not to where you've completely taken it apart. Take a rubber band and wrap around the end of the toothbrush. Carefully slip the pen point assembly through one of the loops of rubber band to hold it snugly against the toothbrush end and ideally, not against the actual brush. Turn on the toothbrush and submerge in water( I use an old plastic vitamin bottle ) or diluted pen cleaner or full strength cleaner. Probably it would work with mild soap, but stick with water or pen cleaner/water combos. Because I have had to come up with this, I try to be more careful of my pens as I like using them more than cleaning them.---- hey, update, I'm always learning- scrap some of the above and get yourself a small and relatively inexpensive ultrasonic jewelry cleaner.

Tekrar alacağım

Güzel paketlenmiş, özellikle kalemin hassas ucu için özel koruması var. İnce çizgileri kesintisiz ve çapaksız çıkarıyor, tekrar almayı düşünüyorum.
