We have had one of these lights working outside for about a year and it is by far the most satisfactory one of these type of lights we have tried.positives1 bright enough light2 sensor angle a little less than 180 degrees but still works well to sense people arriving from both directions either side of the direction the light is pointing3 batteries good enough to last between sunlight charges even in the winternegativeThe only negative I have is that the 4 visible screws have gone very badly rusty in less than a year. Otherwise it has stood the rain etc wellI asked the manufacturer for replacement stainless steel ones but they instead sent me £5.I also asked if they continue to use non stainless steel screws and they did not reply. I have ordered some stainless steel ones from china for less than £2 and I will let them know if they fit and resolve the problem.However we are so pleased with the light we have bought another one as a Xmas gift for our daughter to light up some dark outside steps at their entrance.Would recommend this product, particularly if they fit stainless screws!I attach a picture of the rusty screws!

Arrived before the scheduled date. Easy to fix and does what it says. Very efficient light. The only criticism I have is regarding the solar panel. My drive faces east and to take full advantage of the sun during the winter months I have had to set the light/sensor at a angle that slightly offsets the beam from where I wanted it to shine, also of course the sensor. By having to offset the array it has also shorted the sensor distance. If a ball fixture could be fitted to the panel allowing a more flexible adjustment, this would improve the the ability to take full advantage of the solar rays by quite a large margin and also allowing the sensor to operate as it should.

Put this on the wall in the back garden, took 5 minutes to hang up. Very happy with the brightness of the LEDs and seems to pick up movement some distance away to make it a deterrent for anyone who enters the garden.The only downside is one of the questions is answered incorrectly for this model. Asked if it could be switched to only come on when movement is detected, the answer was yes. My unit only had an on / off switch which meant the unit lights in poor light and stays on through the night, going brighter when movement is detected. Which I think is a waste of energy, would have liked it to be off until it detected movement. But overall seems to work well.

Only installed for 1 day, but so far so good. It was a sunny day when installed so it had a few hours of charging and worked well. I found the screws provided for fitting were hopeless, but no problem when I replaced them. I was impressed with the brightness when it lit at full illumination. It detected motion at the 15' I needed. Today it's raining, so this will be a bit of a test, but I need to be realistic and not expect it to be at its best when the sun doesn't shine. Pleased with the purchase so far,

We wanted a security light with a sensor as we needed to light an area of the garden where there is no electricity. I probably didn’t read the description properly as this light comes on at dusk and stays on getting brighter when the sensor picks up movement. On a sunny day it will last all night, on dull days a few hours. I would have liked a light that just came on when the sensor was activated only. This is a good, well made product and does light the area well, I also like the ease that you can reposition the light and solar panel.

Although the lamp worked well in summer and autumn it struggles to charge up in winter and often does not work in days where sun light levels were low, even though it is positioned to receive full sun for most of the day. Compared with other solar lamps I have it is the worst performer in this respect. I wonder if its a function of the very strong light it gives out when it does work. Maybe the balance would be better for a slightly lower light output and longer battery life? it was easy to install. Just make sure its in a very sunny position to ensure its recharging is the maximum available for the day.

Put this light up yesterday and it was dull and a bit of rain No sun and checked the light at darkness and it was on and when I walked past it the light brightened to very bright its very powerful for its size? the ball and socket holding the unit when screwed on to main fixing I thought the thread to be very short possibly this could be a weakness in the future?but overall very pleased with its brightness for nearly £30 good value but it states the list price as over £100 I find that price very hard to believe?

I had planned to use this on a north facing wall, but now I have it in my hand, I find that the solar panel cannot be configured to face in the opposite direction to the light,So, it's now on the south-facing wall of my house, and I'm back here looking for a similar lamp, but with more flexibility in the orientation of the solar panel.Other than that, it will probably work well; I just need the sun to go down before I find out!
