Very nice and easy to use!
I've never used a deep fryer before, so I was nervous to try this out. However, after using it a few times and finally getting the hang of it, we've been using it to make fish and chips every other week or so, and it's so simple! One tip I have is to use tongs to gently and slowly lower the food into the basket so that it doesn't stick to the mesh filter. The only thing that's slightly annoying about this is that there's no way to drain the oil, so it can be a bit of a mess to take care of it if you're not planning to leave the oil in between uses.

Cooks beatifully
Brilliant value. Cooks chip's to perfection and is fast to heat oil up so no waiting 15-20 mins before you can cook in it. Filter gets almost all residue out so increases longevity of the oil. A very good all round cooker

Not a bad all round unit with no exposed elements for easier cleaning.
We purchased this for our small shop to cater for the odd chips order. Overall. Using beef tallow there is good flavour. It heats fairly fast and appears fairly easy to clean. The metal filter stops a lot of fat in the air. The fat filter system isn’t exactly great. We changed the oil today and removed the lower catch grid. It was empty. All the smaller particulate had gone thru and was sat at the bottom. This also means that those small bits come up during cooking. For the price, and a non commercial unit, in a commercial environment....pretty happy.

Family size.
Excellent fryer, bought this for my mom as a gift. I have used mine for 3 years and its still in great shape. Big size, great for familys, cleaning isnt the easiest as bowl isnt removable but cleans well with a good degreaser and gentle scourer.

Great fryer.
Well I've had a few deep fat fryers and so far this is the best. Big enough to fry chips for a family of four and does them well. Good price too!

Poor design, bad temperature control.
The essential thing to know here is that it is, in its purest form, a basic deep fat fryer. The temperature control is useless. The fat is either very hot or not hot enough. You can’t reliably leave items to cook and walk away. Cooking chips means you’ll need to stir them to get an even finish. Donuts require constant turning and flipping over otherwise they just burn. The meshed frying pan allows for easy lowering of items into the oil but that makes the frying depth shallow and multiple batches are needed for a family of three or more. The worst part is emptying out the oil. The bowl is not removable and so you either have to spoon out the oil which takes ages, or pour it out. If you are trying to pour it into an empty container rather than down the sink, the oil pours over the lip of the bowl and to stop it pouring over everything, you also need a wide brimmed funnel. Cleaning is also more difficult than necessary as you have to either put the entire device under a tap or pour water into it from a jug. Pouring out the water then means lifting the entire thing, with lid flapping about, just to clean out the water and suds. It is an unnecessarily arduous task. Thinking about this review and all the negatives, I’d have to say it is not a good item to purchase. In fact, avoid.

Perfect chips
This is a great fryer does perfect chips. Only thing against is the see through window steams up so you have to open the lid, but apart from that it’s fine would recommend.

Higher price doesn't always mean higher quality!
This is the worst fryer I have owned, even the cheap generic £25 fryers are better than this. Its an absolute pain to clean, its bulky and awkward to tip the oil out as you cant remove the inner bowl, this also causes problems with cleaning as you cant get it out to put in dishwasher! The inner bowl material looks like aluminium and fat soon starts to stick meaning after a month or so it just looks awful. The filter tray is useless most stuff goes straight through it. The temperature dial / thermostat on the side just does not work at all, i have a thermapen (professional food probe) and no matter what setting its on it can be 40'C out which is a huge difference, this leads to the oil reaching smoking point which is bad for the oil and bad for human consumption! I have since purchased a fryer with built in drain, admittedly it cost more but if i had to make a choice between this and a run of the mill £25 fryer with stainless steel/enamel removable bowl the cheaper one would win every time!
