Good set of pans
Good value for money. Good selection of pans but the frying pan is tiny. I purchased a wok and larger frying pan to complement the set. Had now for almost 2 years and very happy with them.

"Budget" alternative to Le Creuset
I've been using my set of Tefal non-stick cookware for about 5 months now and I'm still very pleased with my purchase. Having moved to a property with an induction hob, all my previous cookware was useless and I needed a set which would deal with all of my everyday needs. This set consists of 2 frying pans and 3 pots of varying sizes. One of the pans is a fairly average size (26 cm) and the other more suitable for omelettes (20 cm). The saucepans too come in a useful variety of sizes, small enough for poaching eggs or cooking pasta for one (16 cm), cooking for two (18 cm) and a large one for when you're entertaining (20 cm). Each saucepan comes with a fitted glass lid, with a hole in it to allow some steam to escape. The non-stick coating makes cooking and cleaning very easy, and whilst you do have to be sensible what you do with the set (I use plastic utensils rather than metal ones, and a soft sponge rather than a metallic scourer), it does have the potential to last a very long time with a careful owner. In an emergency, you can use the saucepans as mixing bowls quite happily.Given these pots and pans are designed for induction cooking, they have a stainless steel base and are very heavy. This might be common sense for most, but if you're new to induction cooking, take this warning seriously. Whatever you do, don't get these sent to your workplace, have them delivered directly to your home when you're in or you will struggle to transport the giant, weighty box! I personally made use of my Prime membership and courier tracking to ensure they were delivered to my flat when I was in - I don't know how I would have got these home otherwise. If you can't afford a set of Le Creuset cookware, or indeed if you simply don't have the strength for Le Creuset (whilst fantastic quality, that stuff is even heavier!), this set by Tefal is a very reasonable alternative for those of us who have induction hobs. I paid around £100 at the time and with the price having come down slightly since then, I would recommend snapping these up.I did find that my glass hob was scratched a little by the steel bases and I've knocked off a star for that. Luckily it wasn't brand new before I started using my induction cookware or I would have been less pragmatic and more upset! The pots and pans themselves have survived wonderfully so far and I have no doubt they're going to be a staple piece of kit in my kitchen for many years to come.

This is a Christmas present
A present for my daughter-in-law. I purchased similar set several years ago, and they are still going strong.

Inferior quality product, non-stick surface peels off
I purchased this product in June 2017 and I am sorry to say, I am extremely disappointed with the quality.I previously owned a Tefal set of pans which lasted well over ten years. This set started peeling a few months after purchase and two of the pans are now so badly damaged from peeling that I can no longer use them. I can only guess that the others are not as badly affected because they haven't been used as often.I want to make it clear that I am a careful user of non-stick cookware, only stirring with wooden implements and washing by hand and with a soft sponge. As I said, my previous set lasted a very long time with no issues. You can see from the attached images, especially the detail close-up, that the non-stick surface is effectively bubbling up and separating from the underlying metal surface. This inevitably leads to cracking and peeling when any pressure is applied to it.In my view, this is clearly a much inferior quality coating than was used in previous Tefal products. In other words, I think they are cutting corners, or else this is just a cheap set. In fairness, my previous one was bought from John Lewis for our wedding and it cost an arm and a leg, whereas I paid less than £90 for this set. I though I had got a great bargain but clearly this is a bottom-of-the-range product. False economy, I should have spent a bit more and got a better quality set. You live and learn.Since Tefal claim to offer a lifetime guarantee on your non-stick surfaces, I am going to ask them to make good on that guarantee and provide a replacement with a product that is actually fit for purpose.Do not buy, unless you only cook occasionally, as I guess must be the case for the many positive reviewers (I use these pans every day).EDIT: Having been through the process of claiming on the Tefal guarantee, I thought I'd share my experience. I can honestly say Tefal's customer service has proven superb. The lady I spoke to over the phone was extremely helpful, within a few days I received a form in the post, I sent the smaller of the two saucepans affected, along with a photo of the other one, and in less than I week I received an email to confirm that their inspection team had found a fault with the product. Not only did they offer a replacement, but they took on board my comment that I'd rather not receive a like-for-like substitute as I no longer trusted the product, so they sent three new saucepans from a superior set. They definitely feel better quality and I am confident that they'll last longer. Tefal even refunded my postage cost, which I wasn't expecting. For that reason, though I still have to rate this particular product very low due to my experience with it, I am "upgrading" the rating to 2 stars to reflect Tefal's excellent handling of my claim.

5-6 months in. So far so good
As with any product amazon prompts you to review it straight away but I thought I’d hold back with this one as some people have been less than impressed with the sturdiness of the product. I’ve had these near enough 6 months now and not so much as a scratch. I have been very careful with them (more careful than I’ve ever been with other pans I’ve owned). The non stick coating is still going strong. They’ve never been near the dishwasher and I never use any abrasive cleaning instruments which helps.I‘ve used them on my previous gas hob and my new ceramic hob and the heat distribution is good.As for the build I can say that mine currently have no chips in but I have handled them very carefully to the point I wince when I accidentally ding them on the edge of the sink. They don’t feel like the sturdiest of pans. I feel they could be damaged fairly easily compared to pans I’ve owned in the past but overall I’m happy with their performance for the price that I paid (pretty sure they were on sale at £60-£70ish at the time) probably wouldn’t pay the full list price for them though.

never too old to learn
This is my first induction hob. I was a little wary when these pans were suggested, but I needed new pans so........I took a chance. They are the best pans I have owned. Everything about them is easy. They heat quickly, cook quickly, we even think food tastes better (especially turnip/sweede). They are easy to wash either by hand or dishwasher. Delighted with purchase.
