Olympus WJ-2 Wind Jammer for Olympus LS-3/ DM-650/ DM-670 Microphones

Very expensive for what you get , £35 for a bit of furry elastic. It fits the olympus ls-p5 well though and stops wind noise , vital if filming outside in windy conditions, otherwise your sound recordings will be ruined. It has a little pull tap on the side to help you pull the windjammer over the 3 Mics, it covers them all well. If it wasn't for the price it would be an excellent product, it's hard to see how they can justify the price of this product, maybe because they know it is needed. However if you intend to record a lot of outdoors nature sounds then this is a windjammer that will do the trick of protecting your recordings from the dreaded wind sounds on the Mics.

If you've used the Olympus LS-3 for outdoor recordings you'll have noticed, first, that the built-in mics are exceptionally sensitive to wind, and secondly, that the foam windshield supplied with it doesn't help much. This "dead kitten" wind jammer, while not eliminating wind noise, does a significantly better job. It also works quite well as a pop filter when recording indoors. I have noticed no reduction in audio quality when using it. It's held in place on the LS-3 by elastic, which sits just above the audio out socket, allowing the use of headphones while the wind jammer is in place. The elastic is tight enough to prevent it from being accidentally dislodged. My only complaint is the high price tag, which seems excessive for what is just a tiny scrap of fluffy material.

Pour un Dictaphone Olympus. Taille très petit. Avoir 5minutes pour le mettre et ne couvre pas le bruit. J’ai acheté celui ci en urgence car ayant oublié le mien sur un lieu de tournage. Bref déception

Habe den LS-5, 2013 gekauft, jetzt brauchte ich nen Windschutz. Hier wurde bemängelt, dass der Windschutz zu klein ist. Das dachte ich zunächst auch. Man muss aber lediglich etwas Kraft aufwenden, dann klappt es. An einer Seite ist eine kleine schwarze Lasche. Die gegenüberliegende Seite an einem Mikro einhaken, die Lasche mit Kraft in Richtung des anderen ziehen und überstülpen. Sitzt sehr fest, aber das ist gut so. Verlieren unmöglich!!! Der Ton ist super, wird nicht verfälscht und bleibt klar. Das Teil fängt den Wind sehr gut ab. Absolute Kaufempfehlung, ist das Geld wert.

Si adatta alla perfezione agli OM System/Olympus LS-P5 e P4. L'attenuazione del rumori del vento è discreta. È comunque un accessorio indispensabile per le registrazioni all'aperto. È facile che si stacchi un po' di peluria, il che fa pensare che non duri in eterno.
